After everyone got excited about the Chinese new buyer, the club themselves said they had a second interested party. Another Chinese or Asian I think.

Nobody, other than Spurs officials, know what their asking price is. You do realise that journalists guess at these things dont you? Quoting them as fact is futile.

Clubs do often reveal how much they want for a player when they aren't particularly fussed about keeping the player but want a good price. It seems they're after 10 + 2 in add ons which seems relatively reasonable.

So have Spurs revealed this figure in a statement? Or is it something written elsewhere?

I've worked on the copy for newspapers. I've been in the meetings. You're honestly giving too much credit to what is said. Even when deals are confirmed 90% of the big money ones are 'undisclosed' with the value just guessed at and then all the hacks agree on it. I remember a particularly brilliant one, on a Saturday evening, when the main back page lead for a very well selling national still hadnt been filled. The group, of which I was one, met around a table looking for a story. One piped up "right, which club needs a striker?" Another answered "Spurs". "right, and who looks good at the minute?" "Shevchenko". "Done." The next day I picked up the paper to be greeted by the headline Sheva set for Spurs - £30m deal seals the striker.

Don't leave me hanging, did Spurs get him for the £30 mil?
