This is a tweet from Dr Tony Xia the Villa Chairman on the 9th August. He's a real breath of fresh air the way he interacts on Twitter with the Villa fans. He seems like a brilliant owner.

Regardless of debating the perceived worth of the move...

We should consider the truth of it.

Someone is either confident, or desperately trying to rock the boat. anyone know which?!

I went to school in Goole and Beverley....great people in both towns. Places mean nothing...but people do.
Well, some places are far nicer than others, no? Ever been to Hamilton, OH? My wife once bought a book entitled "Hamilton, it's Architecture". That is 100% verbatim. We still laugh about it when driving over the scenic river there -- just like the banks of the Seine ...

Tell us more hffp? You Seen. Him play live or once or twice on Telly like sterling and bojacks?

Doesn't sound too impressive by your comment?

I saw him play for Lorient. Live. He was very good then. That was a few years ago mind, but he was much better than the other lads in that team. He went to Porto for something ridiculous like £1.8m.

My better half is from Hamilton. It isn't great. Good ground to watch footy in though. Passionate fans too.

I always assumed Gilberdyke, Eastrington etc. were nice middle-class villages.

Wrong side of the M62/A63, it's perceived as not being as desirable, as a consequence property prices are over 20% cheaper than those on the other side of the motorway.

Newport/Gilberdyke are houses along the edge of a busy main road, they're not really village-like and there's mainly farmer types living there.

Exactly, it'd be a ridiculous career move for him.

But would it? We forget one thing in all this, a players feelings.

I remember Bruce saying last season that Hernandez had finally settled in but struggled with the language and could only really speak to Diame, and did not know if he would learn English. Would you stay if your only friend left and you struggled to communicate?

We also don't know what the underlying issue is, all summer he made noises about leaving, even before this ridiculous situation developed.

If he wants to go he can, but for a bloody good price and only when we have a replacement lined up

I'm not convinced he has no release clause. Would be weird if Diame was the only one signed that day who had a release clause put in his contract. Xia may just be BSing on Twitter for whatever reason.

Alan Brazil on Talksport this morning still talking about when Villa get Hernandez then that should see them finish 3rd or above in the Championship
