Thought the club had denied we were in for Mariappa?

 

Is Rick saying these are the players we are in for, or are they just the ones he wants?

I dont think Mariappa is good enough we have to look at players who make us better not just make up the numbers

 

Adding a player, of a position where we have one fit senior player, makes us stronger.

 

Yeah Burnsey said this week that the club had denied interest. Could well be a non-starter but guess we'll see in the next few days.

And I'm not suggesting we should cash in. But I think if we were offered something around the £25m mark we would be daft not to accept, that's a brilliant return on our investment and to a club of our size would give us a sizeable fund to go out and get a replacement with a good reputation.

 

Yeah. History tells us we do well with replacements after selling our star striker for considerable profit.
