The Cromer carnival fireworks have been cancelled tonight because of 'blustery conditions' :emoticon-0112-wonde
Well, from where I'm sitting it's as still as a millpond? Idiotic decision.

The only 'bluster' around here tonight comes from that godforsaken hell-hole four miles west of Cromer <grr> <laugh>

Oh you two, your both so petty, the only Great place on the Norfolk coast is Yarmouth! Look around it's streets for a shining light in the UK's cultural diversity!

    Bah!

    *you're* ;)
It's OK, we get on fine - and have been known to meet up for a cheeky macchiato on occasion! <yikes>
But only after the 6 p.m. watershed <ok>
There's this long-standing crab vs shannock thing - if it was based on piers, lighthouses and multiplex cinemas, there could only ever be one winner :emoticon-0173-middl

I personally prefer Brancaster and the coast around Thornham and the Burnhams

Me too OCF but I'm pretty much public transport reliant, so a coasthopper bus from Cromer means more bus time than explore time!
I love RSPB Titchwell and Thornham creek area, Holme dunes - and the White Horse in Brancaster does infinitely better chips than Long Stratton has ever dreamt about <ok>

I'm off for a couple of nights B&B at Heacham early next month and hoping for some reasonable weather, as want to walk some of the coast path from Brancaster heading east and hope to get to Burnham Market on the first day and Holkham next. Yes, the Coasthopper bus will come in useful!!!

Burnham Market is the Hoste Arms, a village green and a wealth of Chelsea tractors (and expense accounts!)
Burnham Overy Staithe, by staying on the coast path, is nicer - and has a pub which sells chips, albeit reluctantly, and the walk from there to Holkham/Wells is the stuff of legend - and All Saints promo videos <ok>
Your days out, my humble opinion, that's all.

Thanks for the reminder Cromer - I was there last year and hated it, so I'll avoid Burnham Market like the plague. I couldn't believe the price for 2 coffees!!!!
I've done the stretch from there to Holkham/Wells many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it

    Wow! Very La-dee-dah!

I'd love things like that, and wine tasting evenings etc. Not been to either yet. Something to aim for, with the grown ups.

Anyone thinking of a day out in majestic, Edwardian Cromer, look away now <yikes>
I love the phrase "...after she was shot by a gun-toting thug in a street packed with children"
(In case of any alarm, this is the north Norfolk news we're dealing with, sensationalism at it's peak)

I can't hack it living in the Bronx any longer, I'm moving to Sheringham <laugh>

Went to Cromer in the early 90s, me and the missus were taking a stroll down the high Street when this bloody seagull shat all over us. Bucket load of **** it was and we'd only just left the car park. The missus had ****e all down the back of her top and because I'd just bought a brand new car I made her go into the ladies and turn it around so she wore it arse about face all the way home. Never really liked Cromer ever since <grr>
