There won't be any news until he ever goes or gets persuaded to stay. But there is very much a lot going on behind the scenes
Yes, but that is because the club would have deemed a £25m bid to be acceptable and in keeping with our business model. With both of the above mentioned players, I believe there was interest and what the club considered to be derisory or unsatisfactory bids (if not actual bids, then at least figures mooted that were less than acceptable). Based on that the club either said "No" or "come back with a better offer", either way the result was that those players stayed on for another season.
Unsettling our captain just before we're about to play them - typical Mourinho. On the plus side, if he's resoring to mind games & underhand tactics, we've obviously got him worried...
i think Fonte should take Pogba out in the first 20 second of the game which would go down well in the stadium
Unless things are sorted in our favour, I cannot see Fonte playing on Friday. Not that he wouldn't do his best, but he won't be fully focused. We can't take that risk.
If he doesn't play though, it keeps the situation awkward. If he gets a game in and gets back to a normal routine, remembers then it's business as usual, and he might remember how much he enjoys it. It's easier to move past something when someone forces you a bit. I don't know. I see your point as well. Tough call.
