Oi!!!! You didn't mention that when I was asking about Cromer!! Tisk Tisk mate! That sounds like it will be stunning.
It's always superb - moreso given a clear sky and the odd fluffy cloud. But there'll be circa 8,9, 10k other punters jostling for position along the entire seafront to get a slice, too. For me it's the undoubted highlight of a carnival that tends to stretch out over two whole weeks, in some shape or form. But getting in and out of the town through all the traffic and trying to park has to be factored in, for non residents. Regular buses and trains, though
I've not had my innoculations for Cromer yet mate, but I will probably go up to Beeston Bump and watch them from there.
Frequent glimpses, not what I'd call a view. I go out and mingle with the throng for 20 odd minutes. I used to strive for photos and video footage, but not these days.
I once had to ref a charity footy match between Sheringham and Cromer, Jesus, it was worse than the Falklands.
Got this beauty from Jack Reeve/Talk Norwich City this morning! My freebie for coming up with the slogan! please log in to view this image
We are into the nightshift. As usual, I'm in tonight. Been out all day, in for a Saturday night. Getting old. What are you guys who are in, tonight up to? Anyone checking in from their drunken state, where are you and what are you up to?
Well, we may have not won yesterday, but spare a thought for the people of Louisiana - they have had over 17 inches of rain since Friday - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-37073873
Before heading to the pub to watch our match at about 4pm, her indoors asked when i might return, I shot back with midnight, as this usualy means that I won't at least be lying and if I'm earlier bonus. Crawled in at 12:30 absolutely mangina'd. Spent Sunday morning in the doghouse, but bribed my way out by taking her for a cavery, bloomin nice it was too, no Chip Inn, but good none the less! Very nearly 40, should I know better by now? Bah!
Bit off piste, but just saw this glowing review of Ljubljana on twitter and, as I shared the writer's sentiments when I went in May, thought I'd spread the http://www.theanti-tourist.net/2016/08/why-ljubljana-is-hidden-european-gem.html
Haha! What kind of state were you in when you got in then, to be in the doghouse!? You must have made an entrance on your return!
My main error was that I ignored the dog when I got in, he'd been restless since I'd left probably because he knew I was going to the pub (The little blighter also loves it there!) and eager for my return and apparently I did not give him the requisit amount of fuss (I suspect this also applied to the wife and hence the real reason for moodiness! Bah!
