I think its the emotion of the occasion really.

British Cycling getting revved up again. Easily the best country in the Olympics. I think Chris Hoy might get emotional. And that's helping to report on achievements from other sports. Claire Balding will definitely blub tonight.

Take away the USA's medals for swimming and GB would be top....The USA have won a massive 16 Golds and 33 medals overall just from that one sport, GB's medals have been over a range of sports.
