@Jurgen @InBiscanWeTrust (and anyone else who wants a crack) Found another perdiction game similar to the Newcastle one http://www.not606.com/threads/prediction-league-week-1.333685/#post-9557761 Updated each week, one winner end of season
Never got ticket, driving around 30mph zones I probably drive at 32/33, most my driving is on motorway / a roads and I mainly do 80 to and from work. There are 4/4 spots where police are sometimes hanging around though so know to just ease up when you get there just in case. Normally dying rush hour you get a signal because you see a **** load of break lights go on ahead of you where everyone's seen them on a bridge. Travelling snywhere new new tend to stick to limit though
Meh, cant believe they just did CHampionship, I know you were in favour of that so meh to you as well
My view on speeding is simple. That 5mph extra is eaten up every time by one slow **** in the way or a bad light etc. Theres far more to be gained by ensuring you get past the geriatrics and pram pushers and not letting **** delay you than by going fast. 90% of the time if i get passed the asshole will be at next lights etc. Sure 40mph kills but so does 30mph for pedestrians. Keep them off the roads! Imo enforcing a 70mph speed limit is utterly pointless. I drove from dresden to berlin and chased a guy doing oh 150mph and i maxed the gti i got at 141... they had few down hill bits that they enforce reduced speed on and thats it. The most dangerous people on the roads there are lane swappers coming out of on ramps. Everyone kept in lane. Cops should be out solving crime anyway not dicking about but some tosser here are pure dangerous and i mean under taking and mobile phone use.
Only time I undertake is when you have slip road joining main to make it 3 lanes and some idiot in front is doing 40 and decides to indicate out to immediately be in the middle lane despite not being at the right speed, so instead of pulling behind them then get across, far easier to undertake by staying in current lane.
what is it knob heads don't get about using slip-roads properly when joining/leaving motorway ... every day there's multiple pricks still doing 30-50 when joining lane 1 and/or moving out into lane 2 immediately at the same speed ... so dangerous then coming off as soon as they're over that white line onto the slip they slam the brakes on down to 40 or under, again, seriously dangerous gradual build up or losing of speed is the right way
On dual carriageways yes, you can go past all traffic and speed off but a lot of the time you'll only get a red or hit another line of cars held up by some prick hunched over their steering wheel about an inch away from the windshield doing 20mph and the cars you left behind will return. Best thing I find is to time overtaking and stuff so you can get to the front at lights, people are unbelievably slow getting away at a set of lights, it's completely infuriating how they'll just sit there light on green for like ten seconds so barely 2-3 cars can make it through before it's red again, happens at seemingly every set of lights, people just aren't prepared That's my general observation about the majority of drivers, their anticipation and observation skills - which are what driving is mostly about - are shockingly poor, couple that with either inexperience/lack of confidence or don't give a **** what I'm doing i own the road dickheadery and you've got the state of British roads On motorways no, you can make progress if you get past the idiots put your foot down and never see them again
What prediction league? You mean the usual predictioo fiasc fun-fest? Yeah, I suppose so - got 'til Sunday haven't I, or do we have to do stuff before the first game tomorrow?
That's the one. All improved Well few extra bits like predict winner of league, relegation etc but can do it after first games on Saturday I guess, won't exactly get much of a head start
