I don't think he will. Evertons defence was their downfall last year and you can be sure he'll sort that out.

Hard to judge exactly how well they will do before the end of the window they but will certainly be top 10 imo and most probably top 8.

Think it will be stabilisation this year for Everton, but Koeman will raise their game next season.

More than likely but then I only thought he'd stabilise us in our first season.

He hasn't become a **** manager overnight because he left <laugh>

P.s. Know you're not saying this Fran.

There's a good article here arguing, I think correctly, that managers aren't really important any more. You have to have one but they are all about the same.

I'm not convinced he's all that great either.

Possibly not, didn't say he was. Did a bloody good job here though, best league position in what? 30 years?

Most people agreed until he left.

I want to see him fail not just because of the liar he is, but I want Everton to fail in general just to crush those inflated egos of the Everton fans. But then again they are a massive club that would rival any one world football. Messi would sign for them if he thought he was good enough.

Disagree completely. They're on the up, and if I was an Everton fan, I would be quite exited about the future fixtures against Liverpool for a start. No disrespect to Liverpool fans.

I want them to fail because -

33% Billy big balls attitude of the club
    33% Koeman
    33% Tobes
    1% it's a new club to dislike

He did do a good job, to an extent. I couldn't get away from the idea he lucked out a bit with the set up and Pelle's injury.

I think we'll find out a lot more about how good he *really* is at Everton.

Everton have been the poor relatives in Liverpool for quite a while, so I don't consider them as big heads compared to their red brethren. I am neutral on Everton....certainly don't hate them...they are just collateral damage. I want Koeman to do worse than us, so that means Everton. Their fans let the 'promise' of money overcome their usual common sense....we should just pat their heads and march on.

    It's all about expectations.
I think the longer fans feel their team is not 'punching it's weight' the more arrogant and unbearable they become when success, or the promise of success, appears. Our demise, then rise, from admin and L1 was pretty brief and most Saints supporters now look back with some affection on those years. Well the rise bit anyway.

Everton fans see themselves as a natural top 6 team and have the added irritation of sharing a city with a more successful, high profile, club. The initial reaction to 'warchest' claims and the poaching of Ron (many thought him not good enough for them remember) was mostly hilarious on so many levels.

Ron will do ok if he stays for more than one season, he's a good manager. The question is will he get the time and support. Everton fans would not tolerate the slow(ish) start and mid season dip we suffered last year. I also expect the owners to scapegoat him to hide what looks like a modest transfer window outlay if unrest surfaces. But hey, if he signs Mata and Witsel this week . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Sorry guys............ but having a lot of difficulty understanding why we keep on about Koeman and Everton. He's gone, lets just accept that and get on with what we like doing best, that is supporting our glorious Saints. An occasional post moaning about him, yes.....but a whole thread............come on, really?

You mean you haven't hated them forever because of Heath and Bailey and the fact they play in blue.
