Sure wages are different but if figures are as reported, no brainier Bony for 13m over Naismith at 8m
Christ. He's worth half that. We will be priced out of the market and I cant see Arsenal paying that much for him. Slightly above average player that would be good for us though at the right price.
Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj on verge of loan switch to Sunderland? please log in to view this image © Getty Images By Danielle Joynson, Staff Reporter Filed: Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:51 UK Last Updated: Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 12:07 UK Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Sunderland to play under his former manager David Moyes. The new Black Cats boss recently confirmed interest in the Belgium international, who has struggled for first-team minutes at Old Trafford. The 21-year-old did not figure in Louis van Gaal's team last season as he was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund before being recalled in January. Jose Mourinho is now the man in charge at United, and it appears as though he is willing to offload Januzaj, but only on a temporary deal. According to the Daily Mail, both parties are in negotiations over a loan as United do not want to make the same mistake that they did with Paul Pogba by allowing a young player to leave permanently and then buy him back for an inflated price. Pogba rejoined United yesterday for a world-record £89m fee. please log in to view this image Might feel a bit better if this happens
I am mate. I actually edited my post to above average from just average. Maybe being a bit harsh and just judging him on his Man City time. Every time I saw him though for City he has done nowt.
A loan is a terrible arrangement for us. If he is ****e we have lost money on loaning him, if he is great Man Utd will sell him to the highest bidder which wont be us. There needs to be a buy option or a buy with buy back option for utd. Its madness this deal.
Makes sense that they don't sell to a rival at a reduced rate. I dare say there's a premium on Arsenal if they want him. City's owners are mega rich, but they are also smart as a tack. They run that club fantastically well, it's one of the best set up clubs on planet earth now. They've built a 'forever' club.
I also rate Naismith but was hoping for a big physical forward to complement JD. I agree Moyes will strengthen the squad and bring decent players in it was just me on a major downer yesterday after the Kone rumours.
I don't think Naismith is an out and out forward unless we're desperate. He's more of a winger/inside forward, probably similar to Borini in a way.
I just don't rate him either. Not skillful or quick enough for a wide player and doesn't score enough goals as a CF. Didn't do anything for Norwich last year and I would hate to think that £8m of our clearly restricted funds would go on him.
Fair enough mate, all about opinions isn't it. I do like him, always have since he came to the PL with Everton. I think he'd be a good fit with us as he's a grafter and a bit of a nuisance.
You mean like Borini? I do like Naismith, good player, but no need. If Moyes is thinking of selling Kone to fund ****ing Naismith we are ****ed.
Aye like Borini, Naismith on the left and Borini on the right with Khazri in the middle would work for me. Agree on the second part though, if we're getting rid of our best defender for a player we don't desperately need then Short needs to go and boil his heed.
