I'm getting he feeling Moyes sees this transfer as a boost to his pot.

I've nowt to back this up, I'm just thinking he maybe sees an extra £18million to spend as a big advantage.

Surely we'd give him a deal if that's all it was, Moyes must be calling the shots to have taken the job.

That's it mate. Getting in defensive replacements already and the money may be too good to turn down and used to improve other areas. Not saying I agree with it. The funds should be made available to improve the squad and add to the already existing players.

Not getting worked up about it like. Remember Southampton 2 seasons ago selling half their team. Its about getting the right squad together and gelling as a team.

If we just signed Yann, we'd accept other decisions.

The club, yet again, have alienated the fans pissing about, they never learn.

'Kone's going but we've signed Yann'

Fine.

'Kone's gone we've signed a couple of United reserves'

Panic.

Well is HE there. Nee one answered on the other fred. My phone is ower small to make owt out.

Is that not what Papy is though? He's a centre half who is capable in centre mid. We may only need cover? (I truly don;t know by the way as I've never seen Djilobodji play - does that sound like a euphemism)!!
only thing - not proven in premier lge - will he adjust like Kone or like Coates ?
Also just heard we have signed Mcnair from Man U .....a bit underwhelmed <doh>

We've signed a back up defender - i.e. a position we desperately need back up in, who is described as a "good ball player occasionally caught out of position and who may try to do too much with the ball from time to time" (sic) by a Man Utd fan for £5m up front - so we've signed someone who is described as almost identical to John Stones for one tenth of the price!

:emoticon-0148-yes: I did'nt know much about him -hope he can develope as good a partnership with Kaboul as Kone who I fear will be leaving very soon

As much as we want Kone was reading something yesterday were the Everton fans where disgusted that is all they were aiming for.

Club association isn't it. We are perceived as perenially dross, Everton fans ain't seen much of Kone, bar him bossing them at both ends of the park last season, but as he's a Sunderland player they have uneducated opinions that he's beneath them.

Kind of like what we are doing with McNair & Love ain't it, we don't actually know how good they will be for us, we more than anyone should know that name and price means very little.

I present to you Kevin Phillips, Chris Makin, Thomas Sorenson... could go on but no need.

Kone is easily good enough for Everton, maybe even a tiny bit higher. He's certainly as good as Bailly who United paid £30milion for.
