  • have not exactly been active in the transfer market so far this summer, only bringing in Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea.
It is hoped that his signing will be the first of many under David Moyes, however, with reports in the Evening Chronicle suggesting that he could soon be joined at the Stadium of Light by Stefano Okaka.

STEFANO OKAKA
The experienced striker, who turns 27 tomorrow, may not be a household name on these shores, but he did have a loan spell at Fulham back in the second half of the 2009/10 campaign.

Truth be told, he didn’t exactly set the world alight, scoring twice in 11 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers, though only three of these outings came from the start:

Two FA Cup appearances totalling 28 minutes also saw Okaka hit the target once, so a move to English football would not come as a complete culture shock to the Anderlecht man.

Capped at international level by Italy, the powerful centre-forward would be looking to reproduce the sort of form he showed for Sampdoria in Serie A back in 2013/14 were he to secure a switch to Wearside:

Andre Ayew: West Ham United sign Swansea City striker for £20.5m

Andre Ayew made an immediate impact at Swansea, scoring against Chelsea on his debut
West Ham United have completed the signing of forward Andre Ayew from Swansea City for £20.5m.

Ayew, 26, signed for Swansea on a free transfer from Marseille in June 2015 and scored 12 goals in his first Premier League season.

The Ghana international won the BBC African player of the year in 2011 and becomes West Ham's record signing.

He is the club's sixth signing this summer, as they prepare for their first season playing in the London Stadium.

More to follow.

Joel Campbell would be a naughty buy mind.

Seen Defoe in Lane 7 earlier, didn't speak to him cosbim not that kind but he looked lean as duck and in very, very good spirits.

Not sure that helps us like. Ha.

I've just had to google that, looks classy like.

When did that open?

Ayew would have been great for us. We are scraping the barrel and looking at cheap options. Not at all happy with prospects now

Just signed for West Ham. £20m

I haven't been appointed 83's spokesman but I took it to mean what I was thinking, which is why would us not signing Ayew mean we're ****ed and will be looking to bring back Jozy instead of signing anyone good.

I get that, mate.

How does he know that we are scrapping the barrel and looking at cheap options? Why isn't he happy with prospects, seemingly just because Ayew has went to West Ham? <laugh>

He didn't say we're ****ed though. He's just seems frustrated with the window to me so I took it as 83 hadn't picked up on transfer yet. Just got an 83 notification so all will be revealed :p

Manchester United's Donald Love and Manchester City's Jack Byrne in action

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have offered right back Donald Love to Sunderland – and manager David Moyes is open to a deal.

The Black Cats have endured a frustrating summer, as Sam Allardyce left the club to take over as England manager last month, and the club's first signing of the summer only arrived on Friday as Papy Djilobodji arrived from Chelsea.

Sunderland manager David Moyes poses

New manager David Moyes needs new additions quickly given that the new Premier League season is just a matter of days away, and it seems that one of his former clubs are looking to offer him some players.

The Daily Mail report that Manchester United – who Moyes managed for less than a year – have offered Sunderland a deal for Paddy McNair, as well as right back Donald Love.
