The cycling looked horrendous. Anyone watching Sweden v Nigeria - the Nigerians are looking very good!
I see Southampton FC [2012] are playing Iraq away at this moment in time. 0-0 so far. Oddly, Neymar is playing for us. EDIT: We drew with Iraq 0-0.
That's a heavy fall. I feared as such. Racing cyclists are a bloody hardy lot though. Wouldn't surprise me if she was back in the saddle by the start of the next racing season.
Apologies if already posted, but Adam Peaty has got Team GB on the medal table with GOLD in the Men's 100m Breaststroke. And a another World Record time of 57.13 seconds from him to cap it off. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/36685693
Jazz Carlin wins SILVER in the Women's 400m Freestyle. It has taken Team GB just until the 2nd day to win its first gold and silver medals. At London 2012 the first gold was one on Day 5. And we know how good that show got.
Adam Peaty was one and half seconds in front of second place, over 100 METRES.! He was 57.13 and the next guy was 58.69. A whole body length. Astonishing.
To finish further ahead than the total race distance has to be one of the greatest sporting achievements ever What an Athlete!
I've already realised there are disadvantages to not being a moderator anymore. One is that I can no longer protect members from jokes like that.
Men's Pairs Canoe Slalom looking spectacular. Team GB way in the lead so far, by about 4 seconds and a clean run.
Now the Table Tennis is looking interesting. Team GB's Drinkhall playing Croatia's Gacina. The commentator praises up the Croatian and he promptly loses focus, allowing the Brit to get in. This sport is all about focus and intensity and this match is showing it.
