The protest group? You mean Hull City fans? I believe there's double the amount of cards to hand out for this one, there's barely any of you 'I'm happy to sit back and take this ****' types left.
What a stupid, naive, arse licking moron you are. The team is being decimated by the actions of the owners, the only way it can improve is for the Allam's to piss off immediately and let proper owners make the necessary investment. Thousands of fans can no longer afford to go because of the Allam's yet all you are bothered about is your excitement being dampened. What an utter, utter, fanny.
The media will cover what they want to cover irrespective of how big the protest is UNLESS they cannot ignore it by it interfering with the game kicking off on time or it is obvious just before or during the game e.g. red card / banners / tennis balls . Anything away from the ground has a high likelyhood of not being covered Nationally. Nobody cares what's in the HDM or on RH , they are both small time. Depending on the sentiment in the media they may decide to cover it and say 'Heartless Hull City fans turn the screw while their owner is dying of ......' with a picture of a very ill A. Allam. Protest yes , I prefer the red card , but def not any pitch invasion.
I like the squash ball idea. Everyone can fit 10 in their pocket and it'll take ages to clear them all off the pitch.
I hate to say it but the biggest news of the weekend will be Lineker presenting in his undercrackers.
Protest Group Mr Waggy ? Don't be silly. Think as lammy man stated those NOT protesting will be a tiny minority so you will have to put up with the anger that will flow against the owners. Name change No concessions Seat moves The way Steve Bruce was stabbed in the back Some will protest for all those reasons. Some for one or two reasons. I can't wait to protest. Im looking forward to it more then the game
It'll be the opening gag for Match of the Day and they'll forget about it for the rest of their show. Also, Sky aren't going to publicise that.
And what have the protests achieved so far - have they made the situation better or worse? Be honest now!
and what has your endless whinging achieved so far, apart from making it clear what a brown-nosed self-righteous self-serving clueless tosser you are? be honest now!
It could be worth sounding out other clubs for ideas. I know Leeds Supporters Trust have a lot of experience in ousting chairmen, having replaced Ridsdale with Bates, then Bates with Cellino and they're now working on Cellino.
I hear what you say but in my view CTWD - now renamed HCST - and the Allams are equally to blame for the current situation. The more one side has pushed, the harder the other side has responded. Meanwhile the remaining supporters (the vast majority) who just want to carry on supporting their team are caught in the middle along with the (acting) Manager and the team. A very sad state of affairs with each group blaming the other but in reality both are equally to blame. And what are the protest group doing about it - that's right, trying to escalate things even further!
So you do agree with protesting during a game then...its just that you haven't reached your own personal bar for the protest Other people have reached theirs and so will protest Just suck it up, and live with your excitement being dampened, but realise others will have a different view. In fact some might be more excited by the protest than the game. We're all different
CTWD opposed the name change with a respectful campaign whose aims were nothing more than to prevent the name of the club from being changed. So I'm afraid your attempt to rewrite history won't wash. The owners have refused to engage with the fans since day one and have got progressively more objectionable in the manner in which they've behaved. Things can't escalate any further, pretty much everyone would now like to see them gone and absolutely none of the current issues at the club will be resolved until that happens.
I think the protests are a good way of making a point and should be supported, but they're unlkely to achieve an objective on their own. They need to be part of a wider action, and the reasons for the protests need to be clear. Protests didn't stop the name change, the FL's rules did, so we need to look at ways of driving the outcome. Helping market the club and finding a buyer is one possible way. The protests could be used to show the potential for quick improvements.
