What is 3 x 350,000? According to the Fail it is 1,500,000 as City have, according to them, offered Chris Coleman a bumper pay deal which would triple his salary from £350,000 to £1,500,000. Do you need any education or qualifications to get a job in journalism these days?
According to BBC Wales he's on over £400k, so the 'triple' is probably more accurate than £350k, despite them not being able to add up.
I just see that as the bookies don't have a clue but Phelan is the easy option and they're just covering themselves.
Its an interesting one form a punting perspective.. All the odds state Hull CIty's next Permanent Manager... if Phelan is appointed as Temporary manager pending further interviewing etc... that would mean that anyone who has had a bet would be entitled to their money back ..OR... the bet running until we appoint a manager.... I think BCC is on Phelan at 12/1 but if he;s appointed .. will he get paid!!!!!?
Yeah I am and the bastards better had do. Just checked my bet and it doesn't even matter if nobody is officially appointed, as long as someone manages 10 games they pay out.
All the managers we have been linked with have failed at clubs, but maybe with phelan if he gets the job could be the one good thing to come out of all this ****e,he has never failed as a manager so we don't know what he can do in that position and he may be able to bring us through with all the experience he had as a coach. Worth a punt.
Phelan to get us through this month maybe? But we need a manager to attract players to hull like SB did! I've mentioned it like a broken record! But no way would we have the players we do without the pulling power of a respected manager!
Id rather have phelan than zola to be honest, seems to have galvanised the players we have left which is a start i dont think that zola has that managerial skill if you look at the spells and form when he got sacked
You forget that the so called 'Special One' is in charge now......... doesn't he like to have squads of about 40?
If they have big intentions of selling then they may put Phelan in temporary charge until new owners come in then its up to them, the problem is will they let him bring anyone in because I wouldn't put it past them not to. To many unanswered questions and if they did decide to sell up it looks like they are waiting for the transfer deadline to pass so they take their cash and leave us in a right mess? I just hope that they do go we get decent owners in and it would be nice to give who ever the manager is in this transfer window some help because at the moment we have no chance.
Erm, no the exact opposite actually. He continually states the ideal squad size is 23 - 2 outfield players for each position and 3 keepers. When he took over at Chelsea first time he had a massive cull of Ranieri's signings to make the squad smaller. And when you say 'so called', it's probably because he's won the league in 4 countries and is only the third man in history to win the European Cup / UCL with 2 different clubs.
Mourinho awarded himself the name Special One though didn't he? At the time he'd won I think one league in Portugal and one CL. OK the arrogant **** has backed it up plenty more since.
