Can't see Jose selling Antonio Valencia at this stage, he's been using him a lot pre-season so he's likely part of his plans. Basti is a gonner though for sure.

£13m is a great price, I suspect wages would be an issue. Like Benteke this is the quality we need if we are going to progress, it's a big yes from me.
Aye I think Jose's fallen out with him for a reason known only to himself. He's an odd bugger at times. 35 mil for 26 year old Sissoko who has always had erratic form or 4.5 mil for 31 year old Schweinsteiger, with a free Valencia thrown in? Worlds apart in terms of value.
Sunderland have appointed Mick Doherty as their new chief scout. Doherty left his post as Chelsea's international senior scout last month. He formerly worked with manager David Moyes while at Everton and helped uncover the likes of Seamus Coleman and Shkodran Mustafi, now at Valencia. Another good move by Moyesy? Confirming that the highly-respected coaches are staying on, changes to the Scouting staff are all good signs to me that Moyes is firmly taking charge across the board. Now to get those players in we so desperately need.
Either that or he`s realised early on that our scouts are a pile of ****e. We`ll get a better idea when we see this new Djelibeybe lad in action.
