Ok - here we go. Another season. Another set of promising youngsters out on the loan system.

Trammy Abraham on as a 70th minute Sub for Bristol City scored a 80th minute equalizer against Wigan.
Bristol go on to win it 2-1 in the next 10 mins.

Note to the manager - start Abraham every ****ing game!!

Our loanees did well today. Kasey Palmer came on and scored the winner for Huddersfield and Kiwomya did the same for Crewe. Kalas kept a CS against Newcastle last night too.

    Abraham looks the real deal.
His goal scoring record for the Youth team is impressive, something like 74 goals in 92 games I think.
Now he is 2 in 2 for Bristol. And only 18 too......maybe one silver lining regarding Jose's departure is that we may eventually see more youth players coming through eventually, if Conte does well.

Traore gone to Ajax on loan. Very good move for him but thought he'd be kept around as a 3rd choice striker?

Are we going to be playing one up front this season?
If so this isn't too bad.

If we go with two up front, then this is the most retarded decision ever.
The guy is 20 years old now.
This is the age when they should start making headway in the senior squad.
Looks like Traore is on his way to Stoke next season

    I can't see us playing 2 up front myself. I think it's looking like a 433.

    So

    Courtois
    Ivan Terry Cahill/Zouma Dave
    Kante
    Fabregas/Oscar Matic
    Willian Hazard
    Costa

Bats and Remy as back up strikers I guess and Costa will be sold if Lukaku comes in. Gods knows why though.

    Kante AND Matic in midfield?
    Not too sure about that.
    Thats an awfully defensive midfield

Any word on where we are sending Bamford yet?
We may as well flog him to be honest.
With Costa, Bats, Remy and an on loan Traore ahead of him in the pecking order, we may as well cash in on him, since he wont get a sniff of first team action.
Lots of Championship teams and lower PL teams that would be willing to pay between £5-10m for him

Traore loan is a surprise. Hope he gets decent minutes in Ajax.

Kante & Matic isn't too defensive. You haven't seen Matic's offensive runs & through balls?

Matic is a great offensive minded player.

I saw a rumour of someone looking to offer 3 million, Wigan I think. As long as we have a buy back clause I don't see much point in just continuously sending these 'kids' out on loan.

Team to play Werder Bremen: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta, Kante, Willian, Oscar, Matic, Hazard, Diego Costa

This was our last match line up. Looks a 433 to me with Matic and Oscar in central Midfield ahead of Kante. Probably similar to the old Jose system that had Makalele, Lampard and Essien. Matic playing the Essien box to box role.

    Exactly.
Flog em, with a moderate buy back clause, say £15m if he becomes the bees knees. (Don't think that will be the case with Bamford though)

Traore I would keep, well I wouldn't have loaned him out in the first place, but keep him, Ajax is a decent club and they play at a high level, so if he gets games there I suppose then its okay.

Most of the others, sell em on with buy back clauses, we probably wont be buying many,if any, of them back anyway, so there's no point keeping them on the books and paying their wages.

I would class Matic as more defensive than Essien was though.
Maybe he will play a bit more forward now with Kante in the team.

Exactly - Matic had to carry our slowest CBs for 2 seasons with Fab & Deadwood as supporting cast.

Now he has Kante to protect - we will see Matic's more advance prowess.

Matic is equally talented going forward like Essien.

Probably you might have seen this Matic Volley.

    Remember Essien?

Essien was twice the player Matic is.

I think this is a good loan for Traore. He''ll replace Milik and should be first choice there. He's got the same manager as when he had that good season with Vitesse too so he'll already know how things work, plus they're in Europe. It wouldn't surprise me if he finished top scorer as long as he doesn't get injured.

Although i do think that means we're definitely in for a new striker.

To be fair, Matic had a great first 18 months for us but was very poor last year. Most players would look poor compared to Essien at his peak though!

In fact we could go through half our current team and say likewise. Cech, peak Terry, Carvalho, A Cole, Maka, Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Drogba, Robben, Duff, Eidur. What we could do with a few of these back in our side!!
