Jogja still a great place to visit but traffic has got worse. Jakarta has developed massively since then but is still a sprawling mess of 20million people. Trying to build a mass transit system now about 20years too late.
Yes it is overseas to me but I made this thread personal to each person so that it is where you that counts for me. I try to get away from this artificial concept of "borders" and "boundaries". Let's all be free spirits not restricted by the confines of artificial concepts imposed by imperialists from a distant century.
If that happens. I'll have my arse surgically removed by a spoon and mounted in Fenwicks permanently. I'd love it if it did tho!
On that note paddy power are offering the rather crap 8/1 for us to break the points record, you can get 25/1 on sky! Nufc.com going on about how the favourites haven't won the division since 02, but I'm not we were the favourites last time we went down.
The start of a new season at last! Lets hope its a good one and most importantly entertaining Difficult not to be excited for the new season - I'm sure 90% of clubs fans up and down the country feel the same (I left 10% for those with crazy owners or who have managed to descend into a farce before a ball is kick - Hull for example - feel sorry for those fans)
I don't think we were favourites last time. Have a feeling that West Brom were. I'm not a betting man, but I do like to check out the odds. From what I have seen, most of the bets on Newcastle this year are offering very little. One of the better ones might be to have a bet on the Handicap odds at 18/1. Looking at the handicaps then if we do manage to get it together this year then it is feasible that we could finish a good number of points ahead of our rivals. I won't be betting though. Come next season, we won't care how we came up as long as we came up. It's nice to win the league you're in, but it never really gets quoted when you think of your club's honours, unless you are in the top flight.
We were definitely favourites, at 4/1. West Brom were 6/1 or 7/1 in second. Makes sense as West Brom had finished bottom with a very poor record and we'd only gmjust got relegated and had a much stronger squad.
Very funny but not very appropriate - the song is called The Forgotten. Prefer this one myself - although the song isn't very good
I honestly didn't know that as I just googled top ten Indonesian songs... but given the posts today it seems appropriate.
Funny. I remember it as a sleepy sort of place where you hung off the side of buses before wandering around the market for most of the afternoon, jamming 20 minutes of shopping into 3 hours.
Is it too much to ask for another 100 points season?! I had so much fun as a fan last time we were in the Championship! Especially that run of home games we had in the spring where we won by at least 3 goals for about 6 games in a row!
