Seasoned betters might correct me here but has there ever been a situation where 3 potential managers have all gone to odds on and none of them have been made? It's an absolute mess with nobody really knowing what's going on which suggests either a) there are zero leaks whatsoever coming from the club or b) we keep offering the job and people keep turning it down.

I don't know which one to plump for.

I'm gonna say A to be generous. They do appear to have sacked anyone who isn't a blood relative now. But could easily be B.

I'd have Zola now. His record isn't great (well, it looks pretty terrible) but we need something and I think he's worth a gamble. As things stand we're completely ****ed. Appointing Zola isn't going to make things any worse. I'm not sure why he'd want it because it'll be the hardest job going but if he does keep us up somehow then he'll revive his managerial career. He might also be able to keep our players on side. Maybe.

Steve Evans is Brazil's studio guest on talksport, he reckons :
100 % Coleman wants the job it's just if city can get it done.
Senior players disenchanted
He wouldn't be suprised if warnock wasn't on his tractor heading up here

If you want to listen again it was on about 8:25, just as they are talking to corals

We are knackered.

I'm starting to think our football club is actually cursed again. Cannot think of another club that has moved out of the darkness so quickly, filled its new stadium so easily and won 3 times at Wembley only then to find out its owners are quite prepared to stick the club back into a scrapyard because they don't understand the word NO.

Money money money..

Off out for the day, must admit im utterly confused and dejected at the state of affairs at city , you've got sky saying Coleman want's too come to city you got local media saying "no chance" and if this rumour regards Big Harry, wanting out is true, it will just be the icing on the cake, hope that by the time I get back we may have some positive news(not holding my breath), got an awful feeling its going to be 1) Colin 2) Evans 3) Phelan, just think that if Ehab does manage to get Coleman in a room to discuss the managers post that will be the end of our chase for Coleman, as he will bugger off back to Wales job, what a mess.

If Zola,s the best these Muppets in charge of our club can drag kicking and screaming through the doors, then you might as well just stick with Phelan, at least he,s worked with the players pre season and will hit the road running. He's no better or worse then Zola

I agree 100%. I think continuity would be more welcome than a fresh broom at this stage.

What exactly do Coleman or Zola have to offer thst makes them better suited than Phelan? If anyone knows the players it is Phelan. If anyone knows how SB operated & now sees how his own imprimatur could twig it for the better it is Phelan. If anyone has got contacts to get young loan players from ManU it is Phelan. If anyone is showing professional calm fortitude under the current awful climate it is Phelan. Give him certainty and some money and see where it can bring us.
