I don't get the rumour tbh.
Conte has now said Costa is happy to stay, so why do you even need Lukaku?
Maybe we just want the entire Belgium team

Contrary to some of the less reputable journo's comments on the subject, there's been no bids at all from Chelsea for him either according to various Everton ITK's.
it was a 2 year loan though. He's shown what he can do last season but still has a year left. I'm not too bothered, another year's experience and we'll have a very very good player coming back in 12 month's time. Probably in time to replace Terry or Ivan in the squad?
Fair enough,but we need someone now.Just seems daft to me.
I think we need four strikers if we are playing 2 upfront, especially planning for europe in the season after next.

i think regardless we are in the hunt for a very good cb, but who is very good and available??
Of course lukaku is better than remy. But remy + 75m to spend on a decent defence is better than lukaku
That is an opinion not a fact, Remy has skill, ability agility and countless other talents, Lukaku has strength and the touch of an African Buffalo. So if that means he is better then I question your judgement.
They haven't even contacted Everton about him - factThey have an agreement "in ptinciple"

Have to say I find it all a bit meh and if we're going to break our transfer records, I'd like to be a little more excited about it!
I think we have enough for this season. Terry, Zouma, Cahill, Max, Ivan. That's plenty good enough for the P.L. If we were going for the champions league then perhaps I'd see more need. Huth was the main centre back at Leicester last year.....You just need decent organisation and good holding midfielders to function well in the P.L and I think we will have both.
I think we are heavily relying on Fabregas, Hazard, Costa (or another forward) and Willian having great seasons to challenge for the title though.
On a related note as well.....if (big if) we buy Lukaku back (or even to be bidding for him)....does this tarnish Jose's second stint with us a bit?
Obviously he won us a title, but had a disastrous season last year. He sold De Bruyne and Lukaku without giving them much of a chance and look what they are valued at just a couple of years on? We've already bought back Matic as well (albeit not a player Jose sold).
Not great planning/talent nurturing or just one of those things?
