Bod I think you need a less derogatory name than Batshit, can you not just call him Guano

I wasn't planning on naming him that full time, I was just mid rant and didn't want to stop to open another tab and look up the spelling of his name again :)

We already have Dave, couldn't he be Brian or Jason or maybe Kevin?

    Yes, Mick or Michy.

Manures already calling Mkithrayan as Micky.

Personally i feel if we can get him we should. He's young, will improve and has
a massive point to prove.Costa for me is just too much of a liability.

Not for north of £70m, which apparently is the price Everton are asking.
    **** that.
Suarez cost that much, and he is twice the player Lukaku could ever dream to be.

Sorry boys, Lukaku has always been overrated. He's basically big ben and at that price i'd rather take bentekkers.

If Benteke would be for a sensible fee then yes, okay.
But I still fail to see, with Costa, Remy, Michy and Traore on the books, why do we need another striker?
Unless Costa is looking to leave, and those rumours have died down of late as far as I know, then this is a pointless, unneeded signing.
Especially when we need strengthening in defence, in my opinion.

I am not a huge Cahill fan, JT, although he has maybe 1 to 2 season left in him, is still twice the player Cahill is.
Then there is Zouma, who I rate but is young. I just think that we would be better off spending £40-£50m on a world class defender, if we are looking to spend.

    Agreed.

I actually quite like our strike force.

Tbh i would be looking at a world class centre back. Or a competent lb. In fact who do we have at the FB positions? Apart from Dave i don't think we have another one (not ivan please, he was past it 2 seasons ago)

    great few posts lads.

I agree with all about ridiculous the price tag on Romelu Lukaku.
Rather we do Christian Benteke. But not sure Pool will sell to us.

I see Aina and Dave at FB. Moreover - I would like to see Conte experiment with back 3 in few games.

I've already put my thoughts on here about Lukaku, we should stay well clear at any price, good young talent can control a ball no matter how it is presented to them. Lukaku struggles to control the simplest of passes, the innate ability lies within and is not something that is tought or learned later. Kids in the junior leagues are sorted out for this ability alone, if they do not have it then are usually overlooked. Even the likes of Joey Barton and Robbie Savage could control a pass.

A tad harsh, but I get what you are saying. His ball control isn't the best.
Though ultimately I agree. Just don't see the point in this signing at all. Not with the strike force currently at our disposal

Bod I don't think I am being harsh, we have all seen how he performs, has the odd worldie and then becomes mediocre at best. If you gauge talent by size then Iniesta is useless.

Your criticism will not be considered harsh - because he is not going to be cheap.
I don't think he would be able to cope with the pressure of the price tag.

But for Everton he can still bag 20+ goals this season under Koeman.
