HULL City have been made favourites to sign Northern Irish striker Will Grigg, according to reports.

The Wigan striker, who has become something of a global superstar following a fans chant in his honour, bagged 25 goals in League One last season.

He has been linked with a move to the KCOM in recent weeks, but saw his odds on a move to the KCOM tumble this morning after BetVictor slashed the price to 1/1. City are now joint favourites to sign the striker, along with Scottish club Rangers.

With this Diame situation, I assume the information SKY are getting access to is from his agent. I also assume that for the agent he will make more out of a transfer deal than he would from an improved contract. If that is the case, I guess he will be peddling for a move to NU, hence why NU are confident about the move. At the end of the day Diame will obviously decide.

Surely, After January's signings and the lessons watching Sunlan climb up out of the hole. Our rise to finish 12th is surely justifiable. Eh!

10 Days left until the first game. Lets assume we appoint Zola by tomorrow - giving him 9 days to...

- Analyse the squad (or lack of it!) and identify where we need strengthening
- Make contact with clubs/players/agents
- Get Eeyore to begin his lengthy negotiations over price/contracts (normally takes Eeyore in excess of 3 weeks)
- Work out our best formation based on our current squad
- Pass on his ideas and methods of playing

He will have 90 minutes of preseason football to make his mind up on the team for the first game.

Good job we have an easy start to the season!! I think we will have to be patient with the new boss as they have been set up to fail from the start.

This is a new story, yes. The story is informing of an increased bid for Maguire.

When i mentioned the talk of a first bid, you were quick to rubbish it, calling it "bollocks" if i remember.

Like i say, you think you know it all. You Don't, Plonker! <doh>

I didn't rubbish it, Hull City did, I'm not actually involved in our transfer dealings.
