Why don't you start one rather than clogging up the new manager thread with suggestions of release clause threads?
If its in the Yorkshire Post, the newspaper of choice for the Allams then it looks like Zola is our new manager.
At this stage, I'd take Phelan and Giggs, loan some United kids and kick off with at least someone who knows a little about the set-up and current squad.
Have we actually spoken to Zola yet , as for Diame going, mixed feeling on that one, I know he can be brilliant at times, but for a lot of the time last season it felt like we were playing with 10 men with him in the team.
Diame probably feels he's repaid the club. First season bad injury, second season helps us back to PL. He'll be off.
He got Wigan relegated and was then sacked form Everton? As I said, he seems to excel in the first year when he has the base of the previous managers team. Things fall apart after to transfer windows.
OK. I'll give you him in the last couple of months. But other than Martinez and Coleman, what have the rest done!? cue: long list.
He managed four years at Wigan and three years at Everton both in the Premier League which isn't bad. Very few managers who would consider us would have a better record.
