He'd be a popular choice and has peoples respect, fingers crossed we get somebody like him and not a recently failed or discredited manager

Agreed. I think Zola is capable of turning the negative, struggling, "Little Hull", victim attitude on it's head.

How much dignity has Phelan got? Because if he gets offered the job after the Allams have gone to every other manager and they've turned it down, it's not exactly a vote of confidence is it? I'd be tempted to tell them to stuff it in those circumstances - he'd have to want it really really badly.
