Sure. He was a massive flop at the Euros, and will stunt rashfords development which is classic mourinho.
Or ... just maybe ... he may bring on Rashford by leaps and bounds. Let's review this at Christmas, eh?
I suspect Ibra will have at least 5 goals and >5 assists before Christmas, injuries permitting. Have you ever shown your arse in Hammonds' window? Or Burtons'?
I don't live in hull. Thus the name. Injuries permitting is a cop out when that's clearly part of why I think he'll flop.
Neither do I, but I did. Didn't you? Did you choose to ignore the 'ever' part of my question? You can consider your answer re Ibra until tomorrow. I've had a busy day today, and will have an early and busy day tomorrow. Clarify the specifics of your bet re Ibra, and I will respond ... But I will NOT be drawn into one of epic "debates". Goodnight!
Ok. I've never lived in Hull. I thought I made myself pretty clear, what confused you? I don't think Ibra will score more than 5 goals (so I'm saying he could score up to 5) by Christmas. Injuries inclusive. So if he ****s his hamstring tomorrow and is out for the season, that is part of the rationale I am applying.
Ibrahimovic is proud and a fighter, always up for a challenge. He's never failed anywhere. Despite his age, he'll want to prove himself yet again. I predict he'll be a big hit. He reminds me of Cantona with his desire, arrogance and determination.
He sure showed himself to be a proud fighter at the Euros! He was pathetic. Dropped deep to win the ball but couldn't even do that. Had flashes of his old brilliance, but people are being silly if they think his goal return in that PSG side means anything. He's done as a player at the top level and will be found out in the PL. The only way he has more than 5 goals at Christmas is if he scores six against us.
What a silly question, I'm giving my opinion, just as everyone on here gives their opinion when they rubbish any signing by any club, or any tactical decision by any manager. Just to clarify though - are you referring to the man who managed to get sacked 8 months after winning the title, with his side virtually in the relegation zone, and has ruined youth structures wherever he's gone?
This is definitely my final post of the day/night: I will NOT be replying again until tomorrow. So ... if Ibra scores 4 in his first three games, then is out until January, then comes back in January and scores another 20 before the end of the season ... he's "rubbish" ?!?! Do you ever wonder why you get put down so often on here? We're not in Kansas any more, Toto. Goodnight. The end.
Yes. You keep saying it's your last post and then keep replying. I've said he'll have 5 or less by Christmas. If you agree that that's possible then don't take the bet. It's incredibly straight forward. You set Christmas as the arbitrary deadline. If you'd rather the end of the season you should have said so. He won't score more than 7 for the season.
Not surprisingly, I was also giving my opinion. I was questioning your opinion which is contrary to Mourinho's and also mine. Remember Sherringham ? He was in his early 30's when he joined United. Did quite well I recall. You don't write off talent, especially if they are joining a better team than their last one. The youth structure point is totally irrelevant to the question at hand.
You're quite right to say "I believe Ibra will score more", but you didn't do that. Not surprisingly, you were instead attempting to undermine my opinion by suggesting I shouldn't disagree with a manager. When there's a whole thread dedicated to whether he'll succeed, perhaps you're best off in there telling everyone else off too. I just did. Ibra will be a flop. Let's revisit at the end of the season. I might be wrong, I might be right. There's really no use arguing it any further now. Well no, it's not irrelevant when i brought up the point that he would stunt Rashford's development, which is consistent with Mourinho previously - bringing in Drogba instead of giving Lukaku a chance for example.
