Fabregas with a straight red card for a nasty tackle on Klavan. Studs up into the ankle, hope Klavan is ok.

Only a few minutes left. Generally on top still, but boring game. Chavs sitting back for the counter, leaving us to dictate the play.

If we were to equalise, it would go to penalties.
We are putting a lot of pressure on the chavs, but no clear chances.

    Full Time. Dull

Highlights, terrible defending for their goal, Firmino offside goal (good build up) and Fabregas red card.

A good intense workout by the sounds of it, no point having easy games all the way through pre-season.

Chelsea are pure scum. They see a friendly as a chance to injure PL opponents without getting bans.

Shame the ref bottled the Cahill studs up on Randall.

I really think we should focus on how chelsea have becone the embodiment of conte already.

They sat very deep so suited terry who the sky reports gushed over then hit on break.. creating nothing.

Lfc played in front with 60+% possession... the usual issues there.

Lfc had a pretty **** team out. Stewart is not up to this. Ejaria was best player i read so obviously firmino must have been tosh.

Weve a lot of work to do still and all i can say is if i was a chelsea fan id not be expecting anything but terribly dull counter attack play and a top 4 finish...

Lfc need to get a first team together sometime in this preseason.

I think the roma game is not part of this silly comp so i hope we see 45mins for the england players.

Benteke came back from internationals unfit. Origi not ready either....

Good thing is we have 4 games left I think and against good opposition.

    AC Milan
    Roma
    Barca
    Mainz

I'd expect more game time for the team that will start the season, the likes of Stewart and other younger lads will find less playing time as we move toward the start of the season.

The pundits were gushing over the front 3 and rightly so but we will need to change this up and add more power and pace to the line up but with Studge and Origi we have that, plenty of combinations if we're struggling.

    Coutinho
    Origi Studge

    Mane Coutinho
    Studge

    Fimino Coutinho
    Origi

and others. You can also add Lallana in there but I'd rather not.

Made a special effort to watch this, but doubt I'll be doing the same for the next one.
With it being the Chavs, and a competitive game (sort of) I was hoping to see something closer to the new season's strongest team.
Obviously Klopp still thinks he needs to see more of a lot of players, which is fine of course, but it didn't make for much of a spectacle. Once the wholesale changes were made the spell was broken completely and it just seemed like another practice match - apart from the hefty challenges.
I can only remember 3 or 4 shots on target the whole game.
We still can't defend corners - that bloody Skrtel was nowhere to be seen.

Average, imo. They almost all were. He looks the part, but didn't have much opportunity to show it in a pretty dismal game. Second half was grim.
Coutinho was ok in spurts, but Ejaria was the stand-out one for me - the lad shows real promise, let's hope he can fulfil it.

Just had chance to watch that tackle, no accident that or fatigue as Conte says, Fabregas looks to nail him and even follows through with the other leg.

I was trying to avoid the score and watch the full match but I'm glad I saw the result based on what people have said.

Look at at the starting side, the CB pairing look decent, FB's looked average, midfield lacked experience but the front 3 looked a possible first choice.

I really want to see chelsea outside the top 4 again, I really cannot stand them.

Well, his other leg's attached to him so he couldn't really leave it behind. I've seen worse challenges, but it was clearly studs up so worth the red, imo.

I can't really see Firmino being effective in that role, tbh. We need a more specialist CF. Can only see Sturridge playing there when he's fit.

He sees to just go with the follow through other than trying to pull out of it imo.

I agree, he's an option there but I'd rather Studge or Origi.

    this line up is ****.

obviosuly the england lads are not yet up to a game. for me there is NO REASON to play that line up at this point unless they are not ready to play.

Clyne, henderson, sturridge to come in.

Wijnaludm won't bee seen til they are sure where he is at too.

    Can turn up this week.

Origi, mingolet and benteke won't be ready yet either.

    MY view is this:

    Karius
    Clyne Lovern Matip Moreno
    Can henderson
    Mane Firmino Coutinho
    Sturridge/origi

    Its a clear 4231 IMO.

I don't know where wijanludm will play

Thats how we will start next season 3 new first team players, one new on bench as flexible option... and i dearly hope another coming at LB.

We've not even got close to this. its not about the games coming up its about ARSENAL game.
