Tomorrows three are sure to be a disappointment in comparison MOSCATO 8/1 GALILEO GOLD 5/2 PASTORAL PLAYER 12/1
Am gonna have a look in a minute at Goodwood but tomorrow is the day for KILLER CROW in the Galway plate yes they have Road to Riches all to beat but he seemed to be pulled at Cheltenham pretty late on when fancied them tried at some long distances and get home! Now back in distance on good/yielding ground he will have no problem the big man himself has gone on record and said he is sweet on him tomorrow and has some solid form to his name - off a feather weight with Nina on board - Road to Riches should win but if he doesn't and even if he does my selection will be there there about a at the end! And 16/1 is decent EW bet
At work all day tomorrow, no phone, no internet access, no tv to watch on so i'll put a few i fancy up now: Silly price ew lucky 15 1:50 Redcar - Ronnie The Rooster 16/1 2:00 Goodwood - Eton Rambler 40/1 3:35 Galway - My Betty 40/1 4:10 Galway - Bomber Jackson 20/1 Sensible ew lucky 15 2:35 Goodwood - Steel Of Madrid 10/1 3:45 Goodwood - Yalta 7/1 5:25 Goodwood - Rex Imperator 10/1 5:30 Galway - Junction Fourteen 10/1 Done a win double on my competition picks aswell Sagely and Rex Imperator in the 4:55 & 5:25
A bit of a speculative one for me tomorrow, in the first at Goodwood, in the shape of TEAK. This old boy has a bit of decent form to his name round this track and is just starting to come back down the weights again. He won this race two years ago and has the services of Adam Kirby in the saddle. At current odds of 25/1 I can't resist an e/w bet with 5 places on offer with some bookies. Meanwhile, over at Leicester, I'll have a play on INTERMITTENT (5/2) in the 7.20. Roger Charlton's string are absolutely flying at the moment and I can't ignore this one.
14.00 Goodwood- OCEANE- 9/1 NH trainers have a fantastic record in this race and have a great record this season in this type of race. He's a been a horse in form recently doing well over hurdles and won earlier this month over shorter at Ascot beating some decent horses only up 2lbs for that win and as long as he stays the distance he will give a run for your money!
A couple of Goodwood picks, 2:00 Star Rider e/w 14/1 Frankie double (Galileo Gold + Global Applause) 14/1 1 at Galway 5:30 Lord Scoundrel e/w 33/1
Tough race but Twin Sails is expected to win the 5:25 Goodwood tomorrow, 10/1. On a personal note really fancy the Bolger horse in the 2 35 tomorrow Qatari Hunter Best of luck all, well done stick cracking shouts today, good old Creggs Pipes!
Short price Dermot Weld double at Galway but seems solid! 3.00 - Silver Concorde- 1/2 4.45- A Shin Kildare- 8/13 Double pays 1.4/1 - wheelbarrow job!!!
Well done to everyone who showed a profit from Day 1 at Glorious Goodwood. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, it may be Not So Glorious Goodwood by Thursday. At 2:35, the Gordon Stakes is easy to bypass as the St Leger trial features no John Gosden runner and most of the field cannot be confidently backed on recent form. Ulysses is lightly-raced and obviously could still be improving but he was out with the washing in The Derby. Shogun had a marginally closer view of Harzand at The Curragh but nonetheless remote. The Major General had a close view of Qatari Hunter in a Leopardstown handicap last time but the latter would be of most interest trying for a five-timer upped in class. Prize Money ran a shocker when favourite at Newmarket but his previous second to Hawkbill looks the best form on offer now that one has won the Eclipse. The betting pretty much sums the Sussex Stakes (3:10) up as it is very easy to knock the form of the older horses with Kodi Bear and Toormore both disappointing this season. The best form offered by any of the elders belongs to Queen Anne Stakes third Lightning Spear. The St James's Palace front three meet again with easy Jersey Stakes winner Ribchester thrown in too. I cannot see any reason why Awtaad or subsequent Eclipse second The Gurkha should reverse Ascot running with GALILEO GOLD unless one or more of the jockeys change tactics with positive/negative results. In the Molecomb Stakes (3:45), if the ground stays quick that will surely benefit Global Applause over the fast five, whilst The Last Lion may prefer easier ground. They were not separated by much in the Norfolk Stakes, so it looks like one to avoid until five minutes before the race when the state of the ground is known.
Pastoral player loves it round here and with a claimer on board gets my money, sorry but I'm following you stick wise. Maybe a bit on Kirkby in the first also.
Will Road To Riches be good enough to give them all weight and a beating? If he gives his true running I would say he has a few lbs in hand still but plenty lurking and haven't shown their true hand yet, or at least all the time for that matter. Great to see the forum buzzing again and also the amount of winners yesterday when I was reading through the thread was unreal. Well done all, fantastic stuff. Unbelievable going. More of the same today for everyone.
Well, after yesterday, perhaps "Follow Stick" is the best option ! I like the chances of Star Rider in the Goodwood opener. Only had 2 rides this year, both at this course, so has it been prepped especially for this? I'm starting to think this could be the day for The Gurkha, though I think I'll leave that to the competition virtual cash. Got to side with the Nortonizer and plump for The Last Lion in the 3.45 Good Luck
