I find the last sentence interesting. The goalkeepers in the Academy have always been the Cinderellas and we have struggled to bring them through to the first team. Having one person overseeing this area at the club could have a real impact on their development.

League One was sooooo much fun. Amazing that those two videos are just from the first season. Goal after goal, seemingly without end. Whenever I re-watch the early matches I look for Matt Paterson's last goal for Saints before he went to Southend, and the emergence of Rickie Lambert. In between there are a couple of cameos by Marek Saganowski, who was still with us at that point. Then there come the penalties from Rickie, and then there's one struck with amazing accuracy and panache, but it's not Rickie. It's Paul Wotton with a classy one into the inside side-netting.! Then there's the unforgettable Papa Waigo [loved that guy] with his dead-man walking celebration. There came the time when he tried to perform it after celebrating a goal but the team dived all over him before he could get the neck-chop done, so thereafter he ran away from them far enough to do it. Hence, in the JPT Final he celebrated his headed goal all by himself while the rest of the team hugged each other. We had Antonio come to the fore in that season too, along with the emergence of Puncheon, and Lallana had it so easy back then. David Connolly scoring was just class, and Barnard seemed to score for fun, even though Rickie waded in with cartloads of goals. Blimey that team were way too good for that league, and Cortese was right, it was disappointing that we didn't make the playoffs. I reckon the Lads were having so much fun they wanted to stay there for just one more season. Anyway we won that lovely paint pot and what a smashing day that was. :)

I read a book a year or two back about a bank where it takes two members of staff (one manager) to say "No" to a customer, but one to say "yes". That's some ballsy management style.

Funnily enough, I now know somebody who works for that bank.
 
Depends if you don't mind where you sit each week...with a membership, you can always get a ticket somewhere. If you intend to go to every match, it's nice to not have the hassle of keeping an eye out for tickets....though remember matches can get shifted at a moments notice by Sky/BT. We will get a lot of coverage when we are fighting for the title in spring:rolleyes:
