I hate to be the voice of doom here, and before I start I must say I love this lad and sincerely hope I'm completely wrong BUT today's modern player if offered a considerable increase in salary, should any forthcoming offer do so, then I'm afraid all the kind words about our club and fans means absolutely Jack **** and they follow the money ie Gyan et al.

I hope and pray I'm completely wrong in this instance we will have to wait and see.

Fair do's but they've got to get a bid accepted before they can throw wages at them. The Club hold the cards, up to us if we want to sell him or not. They could offer Kone all the money in the world. Doesn't make one jot of difference unless a bid is accepted.

I suspect he wan't a new contract myself.

obviously aimed at me......

but I'm not going to bite. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Ha! No I wasn't but I'll include you now :emoticon-0172-mooni It's a HITC link in the op too. It was meant to be a swipe at the rag really. It's a truly shocking website. Have you seen the articles where they hand pick tweets to support an insane theory they've just made up? Don't swallow their tripe mate. They magnify stories for effect and are widely ridiculed. Evident from the constant trolling they receive in the comments sections. :)

All i meant is people who think they could be reputable must be glutton for punishment.

:emoticon-0142-happy I see your point Bri. It's a new site for me so I wasn't aware of its poor reputation...... until now.

Like the rest of us, I'm hungry for some positive transfer news, so have been trawling the Internet like a man possessed! :headbang:

Twitter is the place to be marra. There's people on their doing the trawling for you. It's great.

Yeah, HITC is full of Post Grads writing for free, trying to make a name for themselves. They go on like the report for the Daily Star rather than say The Guardian. Tone lowers, word twisters, usually badly researched too. They're writing on clubs they no nothing about and it usually shows. Especially that John Verrall :emoticon-0146-punch

I laugh when these f**ers publish the term "linked with" all it takes is for some one on twitter to say club X are interested in player Y and off it goes to all the other wa*k stains to publish. Half of them couldn't lie straight in bed

Thanks for the tip about Twitter. I opened an account years ago but never use it. Perhaps I'll give it a go again :emoticon-0105-wink:

What I hated about twitter was establishing who I followed. You start with the basics like following Sky sports, BBC, SAFC and ALS, RR, We are wearside and what not. That's easy. Beyond that working out what's reputable and what not is a right mess on of trial and error. Finding the right reporters to follow and spotting which are fake. So a bit of perseverance needed at first. But once you're following exactly who you want and tailored it to your interests it's fantastic. HITC is very poor though. It's Clubcall and Sports Direct News level of reporting. Quite funny in places(not intentionally) if you fancy a laugh.
