I was tailoring it to the likely audience given the current time over 'ome .
Have to admit, the US version was decent compared to most of the **** they produce. Mind you, I quite liked "Mash".

Best series of all time.

My wife would agree - she loves watching all WW2 action series.

Not mentioned in the thread 'Allo 'Allo, Brideshead Revisited and The Whitehall Farces starring Brian Rix who was a (near) Hull born lad and is still going today in his nineties.

'Allo 'Allo came to Sydney as a stage show but was a little bit of a disappointment.
 
Some great series already listed - three that I'd add are Soap, Brass and Hot Metal. Also Drop the Dead Donkey (but I suspect it's been included somewhere).
