And last hopefully. Less management experience than Giggs, although plus points for less extra-marital experience too...
There's always a danger, when posting on another club's board, that you don't know anywhere near enough about the situation and completely misread it as a consequence.
They are petty, vindictive childish ****s. They could have sold for about 100 million which would have been approx. 30 million profit. There preferred option seems to be run the club an a shoe string if/when relegated take the parachute payments. The club will still have a sale value, see Villa 70 million and Wolves at 45 million? When they sell as relegated club they could make more money and as an extra bonus piss off all the fans.
We dont own our ground so we are worth a lot less than Villa and Wolves. We also, especially now, don't have their fan base.
Roberto Martinez.... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...artinez-Steve-Bruce-Premier-League-Sport-News Looking at some of the names in the mix I'd take him now.
I'd take Martinez - his teams try to play good football and certainly would prefer him to Colin, Mclaren, Phelan, Fat boy Fat (Evans) etc.
Hang on.... 'he has previously been careful about choosing which owners/chairman he works for.' We've xxxx the bed with that one then.
EA has one chance to redeem himself to a certain degree - convince Martinez to become manager and back him with a decent wedge to buy the players we need to stay in the PL. Thus proving that there is money to spend and it was just that he didn't want SB to spend it.
He could make £200m available to a management team of Sir Alex, with the ghosts of Paisley, Shankley & Clough as assistants but he'd still be the biggest **** ever to be associated to the club. There is no redemption.
This. This is the one shred of hope. Tell Martinez that if he comes he will have free reign over transfers, and point him to the stack of interviews Steve did where he said the owners gave him free reign over the team.
There is a way to turn all of the negativity around the club into something positive and my previous post is a starting point. We all need some positive news to get us excited about the club we love again and getting a decent manager and backing him would give us all a lift. In an ideal world the ****wit would **** off as well, but that ain't happening anytime soon
