Whats done is done - Move on (and thx for the memories Ash)
Sky are saying he told Pearson he has been offered a contract at another club, which is why he's requested the transfer... Surely that's tapping up?
Yeah, you're right - if it's the last 6 months of a contract, they can be offered a new one by another club. Arse. Who the hell was Bosman anyway.
Im not Ashbees mother , so i wont be shouting poor him ! We need something a bit more Dynamic and less crablike - a good servant to the club , but we have the players to cover him perfectly well.
I believe with six months left on a contract, 'tapping-up' is not an issue. who's running football by the way?....oh yes Gordon Taylor - I remember now!
wed be due a fee if he wants a transfer now, unless theyre releasing him but not in the summer as hes over 23.
I didn't think English clubs were allowed to talk to players until a months left on their contract, but foreign clubs can talk to our players once there's 6 months left...
If Ash is having personal problems and feels it's a good move for him let's respect his wishes and let him go with his head held high. He's been a brilliant servant to the club and I wish him all the very best for the future. He'll be remembered for all the right reasons. Good luck Ash and thanks , you're a legend!
I wish him well and know him quite well he is having a lot of aggro with the ex wife and can understand him wanting away! Its bad timing though he was missed today i cant remember one decent tackle all game we could do with him for leeds
Massive shame. Can't help but think Bullard took him off track and now Bullards gone he wants out too. If he wants to go then we may as well let him. He may have done alot for us, but he best remember we have also done alot for him. Helped him back from 2 career threatening injuries, helped him play Premier League football. I doubt he'd of played it otherwise. Gonna tarnish his reputation this.
