So reports have him off on the eve of the pre season (sorry Oxford). A bigger loss than Kante in my opinion given his goals and assists. Who would have thought 12 months ago that we would be champions and selling two players for 70 mill though.
 
Won't happen I don't think - only Eurosport France claiming it and Arsene just said that they won't be spending big on anyone
 
As much as I rate him, it's the one position we really don't need to be strengthening. Plus Wenger won't be spending that kind of money on anyone to start with
 
Yeah apprently he was in France to sign for Arsenal.

A French media source see Mahrez's agent watching Lens V Arsenal and put 2 and 2 together to get 5. They start posting its a done deal

The English media like a bunch of lemmings jump off the cliff following the story and suddenly it is all over the place

Arsenal fans are queuing up outside their shop having Mahrez printed on their shirts

Mahrez is in Glasgow with the squad

These are the only facts

So it seems reports of an impending Mahrez-to-Arsenal deal appear to have been fueled by the fact that the player's agent, Kamel Bengougam, attended Arsenal's pre-season friendly against Lens on Friday night.

Bengougam has since reportedly informed The Guardian that Arsenal are not interested in his client (well, he would say that wouldn't he) and his attendance had nothing to do with a potential deal, but surely there is no smoke without fire?

Don't see this happening at all tbh, Wenger seems allergic to spending money, no way hes gunna fork out anywhere near the amount hes worth.

We could cut them a deal though ... £35m and the Ox ... or £25m and the Ox and Walcott ...
