Was going with the market £45m for Mahrez, just knock off £10m for each player. Arsene certainly has borked Ox and Theos development, but both are far from being lost causes and under the right management, could do perfectly well.

Mahrez will do his long term prospects of joining an elite club much better if he stays this year. We would then let him join Barca etc next year whereas jumping ship to a second rate team like Arsenal or Chelsea like Kante has done will either mean that elite move will never happen or it'll be very delayed as Chelsea or Arenal won't sell them next year if they have a good season to make them happy so he could be stuck at Arsenal for the peak of his career which is depressing as he is too good. That or his career will go downhill through injury
Barcelona are close to signing Andre Gomez - they stated that they weren't after Mahrez and won't be now.
A lot of press reports this evening saying Mahrez is staying & an announcement due tomorrow. The owners are out in LA & finalising contracts witha number of players is on their to do list.
The fact that it hasn't happened yet, despite all the speculation, suggests it probably won't. If he wanted to leave surely he'd have pushed for it by now, wanting to join up with new team mates and integrate himself into the Arsenal set up ASAP. Flying out to USA with Leicester, seemingly happy with everyone and everything around him I reckon as long as we satisfy his wage demands, which is In our interests to, and we have the clout to meet his demands, he'll be signing soon along with King, Vardy et al.
