Yes, but they are trying to sell a Premier League club. Remaining a Premier League club will maximise the sale value. I hate the twats as much as anyone.
Seems to me there will not be any incoming until a new manager is in place, if the Allams didnt trust SB's targets they are unlikely to trust MP's.
Not extending anyone's contract and just playing the players you already have doesn't cost you anything. Either they invest in the squad and we complete, or they invest nothing and take their money out and we go down, they can't do both at the same time.
They don't trust anyone! The funny thing is if they'd spent the £6m for Andre Gray that Bruce identified as his main target last summer we'd have blown the championship away and have 2 in form strikers for the prem. They think we can buy 10 players like Clucas & Odubajo (both Bruce targets) and stay up! Except you find a few Maloneys and Diamondes and there goes half your budget on players that don't do a lot or are injured all the time.
Surely the fastest way to strip money out of the club is to sell it, subject to how much is paid up front. i think they're making it up as they go along.
I'd have 10 odubajo's (un-injured) think he was brilliant last season... Mind you they would have to play in midfield, up front and on the wing.... And if we get stuck, in ****ing goal !!! Oh!! And can one of them be the manager !!!
A multi-Dave, just what we need right now! What a miss he will be this season, we might not see him until it's too late
Did he get there, sign a contract, then after listening to Ehab talk for 10 minutes realise it'd be best to use that scarf as a noose to hang himself?
Then how do you fulfil your squad quota? On the basis that they want to sell the club for maximum value (which will only be achieved in the PL) then the only option is by maintaining PL standard players. The cheapest option of maintaining a PL standard squad is by contract extension for players who had fees paid in previous years. Everything is hypothetical anyway. But the Allams are still pricks!
But that's failing to protect your investment, something even the Allams aren't stupid enough to do. We'll see over the course of the the next few months. But I'm pretty sure they'd rather get the £100m for a PL club versus the £40-£50m for a Championship club. But they are still a pair of twats.
Of course it is. They're being stupid. Not sure why that's still a surprise to you! They should have sold last month, or else spent a lot investing in the squad to raise the value. They've done neither. They're being stupid.
It is of no surprise, we'll see as the window progresses and the calibre of signings we actually sign. Rather than complete guess work by people pretending to have 'inside knowledge'. Retaining our PL status is the only way they'll sell in my opinion - PL has the appeal of global TV, increased advertising revenue etc.
Then you'd have thought they'd have signed a few players by now, no? It surprises me people still give them so much credit. I guess TWT. Rumours are someone was at the stadium for photos for their signing yesterday so I guess we see if that eventuates to anyone.
