Toure to Celtic and Varela to Frankfurt. 2 people we could have done with especially Varela and they haven't exactly gone to massive teams
And you think we hav And you are saying that we aren't looking at that now. While these two muppets are in charge they will just pocket the PL money and sell off the best players then put the club into receivership. Some of you are still waiting for the sale in September when what you will probably get is a fire sale.
You`re making a forecast, it may come true, however we aren`t at those dark days yet, having been there and supported the club through it, worrying that we would go out of existence, I am talking about facts that have occurred, not what may come. The statement I responded to was that this was allegedly the lowest of lows, it isn`t good but history tells us that there have been worse days at this club. As for the club being sold in September, that again is in the future, the likelihood of what has been mentioned on here suggests not but football is a strange thing, this latest episode may just sway their thinking, I doubt it given their previous performances, but again we are making predictions.
They haven't a prayer of generating their £80m through player sales and if the did just want to pull out as much coin as possible, why have they just given our highest paid player a new two year deal?
So they committed to paying someone £5m, on the off-chance that someone might come in and offer £5m for him?
Yes plus it would have cost more than £5m to replace him with someone of equal ability. Throw in any new signing would want a 3-4 year contract and agent fees on top. Common sense contract extension for me.
Quite. Extending a contract by 2 years is cheaper than signing a new player for £5m plus wages plus agents fees. Stop being docile.
For the Premier League? Knowing the money floating around in the PL whilst the Allams are pricks, they at least want to protect their investment. How many current PL players earn £4K a week?
Well the average PL wage is £44k a week. An agent wouldn't be daft enough to let a player sign for much less.
Look at Oyston at Blackpool, he just let the players go and not replace them. The Alam's didn't need to replace the players whose contracts where running down if there plan was to pocket cash.
