    And there, apart from its stupidity, lies the weakness of a membership scheme. Easy to bale out. When most of the big clubs have been and the PL fans have seen all the stars they wanted to it will be interesting to see how many are left.

    Personally I think Bruce has done the right thing. He's obviously lost all faith in the Allam's, he's looked tired and out of ideas for over a year now and had enough integrity to say **** them. Even though he could probably have made several hundred thousand pounds out of hanging around - he didn't. Still our most successful manager and had the balls to tell the Allams to stuff it and walk. Well done.

    After recovering from my surprise at TFT not getting the .England job it does leave the possibility of him backing up his assertions he has more knowledge of football and ability to get results than anyone else.<laugh>
