what is our transfer strategy really?

Does everybody just go home at the end of the season and not plan anything? Till we come back for the first friendly? Should of had a list drawn up pre playoff final prepared for us to go up, as soon as that final whistle went we should of been putting bids in and negotiating so new signings can start pre season with the club.

I'm guessing we'l hash a few mediocre signings days before or after our first league game

****ing shambles
Couldn't agree more I reckon SB would have had players in mind as soon as we went up but if you don't get the backing from the owners you've no chance

We have a strategy?

There's no takeover distractions until September, so I think we can all raise our transfer expectations a bit. Therefore, I expect my socks to be hitting the wall almost immediately.

Could Ehab please take a note at Liverpool's boeard ref transfers:
- identified a player and offered a reasonable bid
- negotiated for a couple of days and reasonably raised their offer
- player has medical and likely to sign

all in 4 days!!!!

We are taking weeks for a cheap lad from france and free agent

Refresh my memory when did we beat sheff weds?

Bruce taking his eye off the ball?

I'd of had it prepared and slapped in the allams hands as we walked the Wembley steps

Scouting and targets will have been identified back end of last season, list will have been brought up at the meetings with Ehab which lead to him staying with assurance that the targets will be bought

unfortunately we have a mumpet handling the important part of transfers

Well this is it and what I'm getting at, Bruce has therefore put himself before hull city really

Shoddy managing should of been prepared regardless

And whats more, the targets and more especially their agents know he's a ****ing muppet.... can you imagine, they think a deal is done and just as someone is about to sign, the agents says, you know what, actually we want more... now where have we heard that before...!!

used to be a case of "your handshake is your bond"

He didn't hand it in after we got promoted because he didn't know if he was going to be here or not.

I find it difficult, nay impossible, to believe that no transfers were discussed in the period between winning the play-offs and Bruce deciding he's staying.

Ok then - if that's the case why was Aluko allowed to leave? Any subsequent manager might have really wanted him to stay.

As **** as Ryan Taylor was at right-back (he was okay in midfielder from what I saw), I'd have wanted him to sign a new one year contract with our injury problems getting even worse.

I guess hindsight is 20/20.

I'd be surprised if you could find a single other person on this board who thinks we should have given Taylor a new deal.
