Just out of interest, what's a PC obsessed metro? I've lived in London for 35 years and I don't think I've ever met one.
Yes I saw that. I thought Boris answered quite well considering. He's said a lot of things so I'm sure he is ready for those type of questions. He's now going to have to grow up and show us if he really has the potential to be a serious politician as so many seem to think he has. I'm not a fan but he's getting so much stick that I am now willing him to succeed.
Reporter accused Johnson of not answering the previous journo's question. And I'm fairly sure Johnson didn't answer the one he asked either.
Personally I think Johnson played a blinder and got the journos on side before half way through. That is his strength though getting people to like or at least be charmed by him. Policy is what we need to see if he is good at.
Johnson, in my humble opinion, is just a sideshow. A clever move by May, because she knows he will attract attention away from areas she doesn't want the public to be talking about. I won't be surprised if he "buffoons to order", when bad news is released.
There was a time when Johnson's buffooning was a minor humorous occasional episode. Oh how we chuckled when he rugby tackled a German footballer. There's one back for you Jerry, was how the humour went. And it was fine because it was only bumbling Boris. But politics is a game for serious people and Johnson isn't. He may well be intellectually capable, but he's a walking disaster as a serious politician. His appointment may be May's way of giving him enough rope to hang himself with, and finally showing everyone that he's not politician material. I'm almost certain he'll turn out to be an embarrassment.
Yep. What I find a little indigestible is that the Tory party play internal politics with the running of the country. A person like Johnson should be nowhere near being a Minister of State, and not even remotely in with a chance of having a go at it.
