Second sentence in. Nail on head.
If I were buying a modest house that I wanted for £100k and at the last minute before we exchanged contacts the vendors asked for another £6k for whatever do you think I would walk away ?
So on a £100m deal do you think another £6m is the deal breaker ? This on a deal that has a guaranteed income way above the asking price for the whole business?
Have you ever considered that these people didn't have the money after all ?

I have considered it. More than once. It is one of the reasons why I'm prepared to wait till September.

I think if the owners of the house kept pulling rabbits out of the hat to increase the price I'd have second thoughts.

Protesting about what is wrong with the membership scheme is separate, at least in my mind. If the Allams are still here it is them that will decide whether the scheme stays as it is. I'm an optimist and live in hope they will see how easy it is to make Hull City more successful and start doing it.

Come off your high horse pal, this is business. £6m in the context of this deal is like someone buying a round of drinks.

£6m is £6m, no matter how wealthy you are. It's still a ****ing massive amount of money. Peter Grieve isn't an Arab oil tycoon, he doesn't make £500m a day like the owner of Man City does. So £6m to him is a lot of money, even in the context of a £100m deal.

And you could say exactly the same about the Allams.
But would you walk away if it was something you really wanted ?

Its been a shambles for far too long. I would walk for a 6% increase in the price too. The Allam family are being shown up for what they are, twhich is selfish, conniving and egotistical.

I can imagine the conversation.

"Mr Grieve here are the contracts"

Peter Grieve: That's great. Where is the part about the SMC?

Pappa Allam: "ask Ehab" (chortle, chortle)...

Ehab: Oh no sorry, that's not included, I thought you said you wanted to buy Hull City Tigers? The SMC is another £6m (after all it has never made a profit and is really a going concern at the moment).

That ok? Sign here Peter...

Door slams....

Ehab.... Daddy when does the cheque from the Premier League come? Looks like I need a new telly for home games.

Phone rings..... Pappa Allam: You want to talk to Bruce about the England job..... Go on then, in for a penny and all that!

It's a shambles....

I want to take my lad for is 3rd birthday to his first home game against Leicester... At this rate we won't need a protest to empty the stadium as other than the few members they haven't sold any tickets or advertised the match!

We really are insignificant to them aren't we! <doh>

I want a statue of Allams outside.... THEN... as with SH I want a ceremonial pulling down of it face first. In fact... can we get some artist to fashion one out of polystyrene and then lets film it... petty maybe, but I'm becoming more pissed off with each day.

I'm on holiday at the moment so I'm a bit out of touch but from what I can gather is the Allams are acting like their usual selves.

I've decided I'm finished with home games until they **** off.

Enough is enough.

I cant be arsed to read all the pages on this thread but I did pick up on the posts stating that the stadium will be full for the first match. Will it though? I thought you have to have a Membership number to purchase tickets. So however many membership holders we have will most probably go. But isn't that going to leave a lot of empty seats? How can people not members get random tickets as you were always able to before. I may be wrong here but I don't think you can. If that's the case, how will all the empty seats be filled. I will be shot down here probably but before you do, I havnt read or received the ****ty earn your stripes pack so I havnt got a clue how anything works.

I'm not sure anyone's said it will be full, just that it won't be a wash out as some have predicted (ie it will probably be twenty-something).

Anyone can pick up a card and load a game on it, it's not going to be difficult to pay to attend. A little harder than just buying a ticket from a ticket office, but not much.

That's if they ever decide what they're charging...

The thing is, would any other club be promoted to the PL, be playing the reigning champions in the first game and not have a guaranteed sell out? That is the sad state the club have been brought to.

Sure Irememberwaggy has said it will be full, in a few threads, but he's cuckoo so it doesn't really count.

I'll be honest. I haven't seen anything about picking up a card
Is that what you do? (Genuine question)
