Big money tag on Kante, from the start he's under pressure. If it's £M10 he can get away with certain things, for the fact that he was a star at Leicester does not mean he is going to be a star at Chelsea.
Think Vardy is going to be lonely this season. Can see Mahrez jumping ship now with Kante gone, also signals that Leicester are willing to sell their best (which was always going to be the case, should the big clubs coming knocking). Vardy turning down Arsenal put it off for a while, but Kante has basically just made it open season on Leicester players again. It could be Southampton all over again, they've really got to invest the money back into the team soon as. For the gamblers, might be a cheeky punt on relegation.
Of course it does. See so many times that players struggle to step up to big teams because they can't deal with the expectation. If Kante thinks he's goo d enough to play for big team then he should think he still would be next year. Your suggestion is that he doesn't believe that he might play well enough this coming season to get a move in the summer next year,
Lads... too much store imo in a transient few games in the cl. Kante is 25. The time to move for the big money is now. Vardy on the other hand is 29 just about got the same pay out of leicester and its his last big pay day. He knew in tbe end wenger could be gone in a year and he might be done. So.... if leicester stay up for his time hes quids in and has his big contract. Why should kante stay now a really big club has come in?? Why should mahrez? I mean the reality is if they gave their all then **** off what more can you expect these days.. if leicester put the buy out clauses low and let them walk out Obviously they were not expecting the hige success were they?
They've won the PL already. Can Chelsea (Kante) or Arsenal (Vardy) offer the chance of CL victory? (I don't know who Mahrez as been linked to)
Can leicester I mean sure technically arsenal and leicester have the same chance in cl.. technically which is more on a very temporary basis than chelsea but seriously.. Leicester wont be top 6 next year. No chance so jump ship now is best propsect long term for most players. I just think at vardys age and his supposedly attitude i reckon hes made vest long term call for him.
Right now though, Leicester could be seen as the bigger club. Champions of England, Champions league football next season. None of that for Chelsea. Not even Europa/Uefa football. I would have liked to see Kante stay for at least one more season. There is no guarantee Chelsea will finish above Leicester
Read what I put. I never said Leicester could, I said Chelsea and Arsenal had as much of a chance as Leicester.
Think you've just outlined why Chelsea probably will finish above Leicester. The League is their only aim this season, can't see them being bothered with the cups. Of course its not a guarantee but it can be a massive help to the bigger teams in chasing the league, we got 2ns, Man U got 4th from it and Leicester won the title.
Early day's with the transfer market just kicking into gear, who knows what Leicester's squad will look like in a month's time. Or Chelsea's. Leicester's Champions league journey may be done by November, or could go through till March or beyond. Plus Conte may find things more difficult than expected in the prem. So many other contender's aswell for those coveted top four places. The new season is already fascinating.
I see Luke Shaw played his first game for 10 months the other day, still needs to get match fit I suspect please log in to view this image
