I acknowledge receipt of your reply, the content of which, including your own rather peculiar assumptions, have been noted. <ok>

So anyone supporting Hull City is from Hull? Do all people from Hull, and all Yorkshiremen fit into your narrow definition? Is your family motto, no dogs, no blacks, no Irish? :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Oh! Out come the smilies - usual bollocks.

The vast majority of club supporters follow that club because that's where their connection is - they originate from the area - even if they don't live there anymore. Granted there is the very odd exception, like Man Utd, but it's just that, an exception. Why would you support Hull unless you have a connection to the area?

It is therefore reasonable to assume that all three of you originate from there, or thereabouts!

If you bothered to read back, Custard ( granted here are some big words you might struggle with!) you'll see who started with the insults.

And reasonable to make sweeping generalisations about a group of people based purely on geography?

There's a pattern on here, discussions run fairly reasonably, somebody queries a point you raised, and then there's a few pages of childish invective.

Coming from the originator of the majority of childish rhetoric on this thread?....really?

Never mind, I expect Custard will be along with a meme any minute!...

P.s. You don't discuss anything. You make points, and then when someone disagrees, or points out the glaring faults in your argument, you resort to any tactics from deflection, obfuscation, childish insults, smilies....anything to avoid being proved wrong!..

    It's usually you.

You've a habit of disrupting discussions as they start to become interesting, and we get left having to step through several pages of personal abuse.

I think anyone trying to understand Heaths decision needs to realise how much trouble the UK economy was in at the end of the 1960s. Devaluation of the pound brought to an end it's position in the Bretton Woods agreement and ultimately led to an imf bail out and deregulation of the financial markets.
I have no idea what Churchill would've done in Heaths position or the compromises he would've accepted to try and halt our slide as a world player.

I agree, that does need taking into account, but it doesn't alter the point I made about him being deceitful about the full implications and the aim of a federal state, not just the common market.

    Sad but true.

There are very few politicians that stay true to their own values, and represent the people that elect them rather than party politics or careers. I did used to praise one particular politician, as he seemed to genuinely care about the people that chose him and worked hard to represent them, but I've had to rethink my opinion of Cyril Smith since. :emoticon-0111-blush

Given the chaos in the Labour Party, Cameron could have been PM for a long time if he hadn't been stupid in his kitchen and if he had come back from the EU and said they weren't open to any sensible deal and campaigned for out.

You don't seem to have much idea about life. I've met many Hull City fans who don't originate from Hull.
