Indeed there are. If it comes down to judging a book by its cover in all things then we are in real trouble. As greensaint said, the Daily Mail mentality. And to think Leadsom came within a step of being Prime Minister. I ****ing shudder at who is supposed to be representing certain places in the UK.
Was it? Owen Jones has been ridiculed for trying to "own" an event in time as against "his" people. I thought it was understood that it was a religiously motivated attack by someone who himself was part of the gay community? Owen Jones walked out because like many people of his ilk that are [insert minority] rights activists or supporters they are more concerned by claiming this sort of thing as attack on them rather than look at what happened for what it was. Their first thought is "this is an attack on me" Owen Jones should never be listened to. He still portrays Northern working classes as if they are dirty faced coming out of the pits and forges. He pretends to know what people are thinking without ever realising he is part of the bubble he is trying to criticise for not being able to see outside of the bubble.
What is the point then? Owen Jones was upset that this event was not being attributed to the cause he wanted it to be and waltzed off set because he wanted this crime to be "his crime." These people fight over the rights to things as if they are medals of honour.
The point isn't about Owen Jones. It is about focus on an issue. It didn't have to be about the Orlando shootings and Owen Jones' reaction to it. Instead of stamping all over the point I made, you need to pull back and think.
The Brighton, Hove and District Labour Party voted for its new executive committee and dared to elect known Corbyn supporters so... Labour’s national executive committee suspended it. http://brightonandhoveindependent.co.uk/brighton-hove-district-labour-party-suspended-nec/
Sorry Imps, but you have got this wrong, The killer was said to have been "outraged" by seeing two men kissing in Miami, by his parents. It was a hate crime against the Gay community.
But someone can be outraged by such a scene because of personal bigotry OR a particular religious fundamentalism. After all, however "homophobic" the likes of Owen Jones may think our society is, we haven't demonstrated this by throwing gays from high buildings. If his act was influenced by such religious leanings, then it was a "hate crime" against our whole society and way of life (including acceptance of gays).
That's the point though, we don't know if his motivation was religious or a personal bigotry, all we know is that Gay people were targeted and that makes it a Gay hate crime
The killer also quoted religious mantra in his phone call to police prior to the shooting. This is my point. Why is there a fight between people as to who owns this tragic event. THAT IS THE POINT. The need by irks like Owen Jones to claim something. Anyway my marriage just broke up in a flash so this is far from my concern at this moment in time.
Tbf, the point is the point I made. Not the one that you've arrived at. Sorry about your marriage breaking up. Is it about all the time you spend on here.? Not another Internet Widow.?
No. It is about someone who has obvious NPD that thinks everything is about her and does not see that I hide behind my laptop then dares to criticise me for it when she spends all day long and I mean all day long, not just to and fro between rants like me, with her fingers stuck to her phone and her earphones permanently planted in her ears daring to complain about the behaviour of our children that she treats as trophies and does nothing other than ignore them and order them about at home.
Yes, but he did not indescriminately kill any old "infidel", he walked into a Gay nightclub and shot down the people inside.
So last night was a hate crime against party goers? All of these attacks focus on mass gatherings. There is no need for any sides to constantly claim things as against them. These are crimes against humanity and all this determination to claim the label makes a mockery of humanity.
