They are both pretty ridiculous. I can't decide whether I should think more of him for declining the money or call him out as an idiot for turning down £40m for a year....
He gets the former from me, if similarly to me he is declining for intellectual reward (Serie A, CL etc) . Though I think the most I have ever declined is an additional 50% of what I normally earn (not 300-400% more) .
No doubt those Chinese clubs would find some way of not breaching the financial fair play rules... (yes I know it's UEFA rules)
Current PL title odds City 2/1 Utd 7/2 Chelsea 5/1 Arsenal 11/2 Liverpool 8/1 Spurs 9/1 Leicester 28/1 80/1 bar What do we reckon?
Hate to say it, but the Goons at those odds ain't bad. And Spurs!... City? Utd? Can't see it, too much integration do be done.
£15M for Ibe? I didn't know Bournemouth had that sort of money to risk on a young player. And if he's that good a prospect, why are Liverpool getting rid?
For all the money they p*ss up the wall, Liverpool are surprisingly good at fleecing other clubs for the overpaid dross they ship out. Torres, Sterling, Borini and now Ibe. Fetching £15m for Andy Carroll would've been damn impressive had they not blown £35m on him in the first place
So Kante is set to join Chelsea according to reports and sources in France reckon Mahrez is looking to join a "big European club"... Nothing screams loyalty more so than wanting to leave the team that not only put on you on the footballing map but also won you a Premier League Trophy, eh?
