Oh come on. She was nowhere near that good. Education desperately needs someone who "gets it." Gove (we don't trust experts) and Morgan (Oooh. What do I do next?) were both bleedin' awful.
May's 1st real mistake (Boris is comedy relief). I am really upset by him staying. Less chance of junior Doctors giving up strike action, no trust left with nurses. He really seems to enjoy causing others pain.
Boris Johnson being left to twist in the wind in a position he can't handle, where no one will take him seriously, and which at this point he likely can't win at no matter what he does is sort of smart. At the same time, it's hard not to shake your head that it's gotten to the point where awful people are purposely being set up to fail in important positions. Not sure what else can be done right now, though.
Pure arrogance from Hunt (again). Mensch was the MP c/o abusive social media stuff when in parliment, doesn't apply to her then "scumbag".
Maybe something like this ... "Now Jeremy, you've created an unholy cock up of the Health Service. So I suppose you think I'm going to appoint someone to clear it up?" "Well, yes, Theresa. That would be a great idea". "Wipe the smirk off your face, scumbag. Your ****, you clean it up."
No one wants American crap either. At least not goods. We are so proud of our steel industry we named an NFL team after it. So why should we buy British steel when we have perfectly awesome US steel? Except we don't buy US steel either, we buy it from China just like everyone else. Canada also very proud of their failing steel industry. Neither of us are in the EU, but we have the same issues Britain does. Basically, every single non-Asian developed country in the world has a proud but failing steel industry, and proud but failing small farmers. We all make mostly crappy cars, with the occasional luxury car that is also crap but people who buy them don't care as they have enough money to maintain them. The only way to price compete with Asia without using sweatshops is via robots, which doesn't exactly help the blue collar base. Plus, Asia makes pretty good robots so it's not exactly a gimme.
A clear case of putting the mad ***** somewhere the Tories care little about and where you can't create a power base.
I think May's plan is to let the mad people **** up then get rid. She will then have back benchers moaning about it.
The power of the internet. People put tweets or articles up, then delete them but its always too late and they survive:
