The conservative party has an instinct for survival, a loyalty that manifests itself when the chips are down. Labour, tragically, does not.

Post-voting polls tend to be accurate. The erroneous 34% was based on the younger vote from the previous General Election. The 64% minimum was based on latest post-vote surveys. So basically, yes the older age-groups screwed it for the younger ones.

The older and far wiser generation actually did the younger generation a favour. The younger generation are just too wrapped up in their media inflicted 'progressive' group think mentality that they cared little about actually finding out what the EU is all about. Perhaps they should have spoken to the younger generation of Italy, Greece and Spain to see how EU membership is working out for them. But no, they didn't, instead, they wrapped themselves up in their selfish liberal wannabe idiocy and shouting down everybody who voted leave as a biggot. Well one day, they will see that the older generation got it right, the older generation made a stand to fight for our nations democratic right.

    Some polling for Sky

    Snap Poll:

Who would make a better PM?

    May 62%
    Corbyn 18%
    Don't know 20%

Should there be a snap general election?

    Should 44%
    Should not 47%
    Don't know 9%

    But Corbyn will still stay....

Cheer up Fats, for ****s sake. We could have wound up with Boris. Or Gove. Maybe god is looking after us after all. Now if he'd just tell Jeremy to get his slippers on and sod off to the the old Trot's retirement home while a competent person (Hilary Benn?) runs the Labour party, perhaps there'll be hope for this disunited kingdom after all.

Don't think I've ever seen the rags comment on David Cameron's shoes or what he's wearing for that matter. Time some of these papers joined the 21st century.

In 2007, May called for Gordon Brown to call a snap General Election, when he succeeded Blair.
I wonder what her thoughts are now, especially as she has effectively been voted PM by just 0.0004% of those on the electoral roll?
With Labour in total disarray, surely it's in her best interests to take advantage of the situation, unless, of course, the Tories don't have confidence in presenting the country with a new manifesto, based on Brexit.

Assuming Corbyn gets on the Labour ballot paper and wins I wouldn't be surprised if there was an election in the autumn.

The Labour members I know are suggesting some of people behind Momentum were also behind Militant and similar hard left groups in the 80s so there may be more of that sort of thing.

I love the way political issues get twisted.

So now the way of thumbing your nose at the EU and telling them Britain won't get pushed around by others is to refuse to leave the EU.
