Not to mention she was probably throwing in the odd hint now and again like 'It's me you ****ing nobhed, don't shoot' I don't know if it's just me but I'd love to smack one of his prosthetics over his head.
They have a long and proud tradition of trying to kill their Presidents and they'd like you to respect it, thank you very much. My favourite attempt was the one on Andrew Jackson, where the assassin brought two guns along, just to make sure. Both of them misfired and Jackson proceeded to batter him with his cane! Jackson was known for duels of honour, so that's probably a good example of an old saying. To paraphrase, if you strike at a nutty duelist, then you'd better kill him.
Our pre-season got started with a 3-0 win over Forest: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new.../spurs-v-nottingham-forest-pre-season-090716/ Not sure about the lineup, but the following players certainly featured: Wanyama, Son, Bentaleb, Vorm, Chadli, Carroll, Mason, Pritchard, Winks, Amos - although a combination of educated guesses and using the pre-season galleries will say that Trippier, N'Jie, Harrison and CCV may have featured.
One former European champion down... Boring trivia of the day: This season will see the first ever meeting of two former European champions in a 2nd tier league. Forest v Villa.
On TheTelegraph website, under the banner - 'CHAMPIONS LEAGUE' there are reports of Jurgen Klopp's new contract and 3 stories about Mourinho. Nothing about any club actually in the competition. Do they know? If not, would it make any difference if they were told? No, didn't think so.
This was a key point of the "Bowling for Columbine" film. Specifically the mindset where in Canada a gun appears to be a means of last resort, whereas in the USA tis the means of first resort. "Go directly south of Detroit, the traditional murder capital of the world, and you’ll be in Windsor, a medium-sized Canadian city. In 2011, Detroit out-murdered Windsor 358 to 1. Is it something in the water that makes us so nutty?" Detroit is not a good example, as the social state of that city (deprivation, unemployment etc) is hardly pleasant. But perhaps there is something in the water though (Detroit Techno - which Windsor denizens experienced and wanted to emulate) .
That something would be lead, if Flint, Michigan is anything to go by. Seems to be quite a widespread problem in the US at the moment, which is a bloody disgrace.
Two years ago Murray was pro-Scottish independence - yet today he didn't even mention Nicola Sturgeon, even though he brought up David Cameron. It's like his being "British" when he wins is a two-way thing...
Point made, although if you go south of Detroit you'd still be in the States. I guess it means north of Detroit. Sorry, can't help myself with geography pedant-ism.
No, it is to the south. Windsor is south of Detroit River, Detroit to the north. The peninsula Windsor sits on is Canada. The U.S/Canada border curves around that peninsula, following the path of the river. The U.S is therefore to the north, west and south.
You're absolutely right, my apologies. I will however not remove my original post and let it stand as a mark of my ignorance!

I was very surprised when Mr. Murray came out in support of Independence. Have you been to Dumblane? It would fit in very nicely in leafy Surrey. He may well still support Scottish Independence, I'm not sure, but remember the full title of the the Tories; The Conservative & Unionist Party. Nicola does not need his support btw, she is the one political leader in the UK who has been decisive and knows exactly where she is going AND has the support of the overwhelming majority of the Scottish people. Mr.Murray was commiserating with the loser so it was natural that Cameron would spring to mind. If on the other hand Andy Murray is not a Tory I apologise to him for the misrepresentation. I think that's how you do it; slate someone and then issue the apology all in one go. You get the accusation in but preserve your 'fair minded' approach at the same time. Good this political lark innit!
Yesterday was a great day of sport - we had Euros final, Wimbledon men's final, British Grand Prix and big Pyrenean stage of the TdeF Today? Sweet F.A.
