I gave up a great deal of my time, over three years, trying to prevent the owners of this club from implementing their ridiculous and divisive ideas. Despite extreme provocation, everything we did remained respectful and professional at all times. So when someone makes false claims about what we did, you're damn right I'll insult them.
And therein lies the difference - YOU think it's irrelevant, others don't. Your backing of the membership implies that you're ok with adults getting a cheaper ticket at the expense of our future fans ..... the kids, if we price out youngsters by not giving them concessions, in the future we'll only have one constant, and not the two in your posting. Further up the thread you dismiss those who have stopped going as ''pathetic'' - there's nothing pathetic about supporting a team (certainly for longer than you have) and one day feeling that you can no longer support them due to the actions of the present regime. We all live by a different moral compass, I wouldn't dream of dismissing yours in such an offhand and contemptuous manner as you have the morals of fellow supporters.
I dare say that your direct contacts may have been respectful and professional at all times - I don't know 'cos I wasn't there - but the posts on this forum, yours included, have been anything but that. Disrespectful, offensive & at times almost certainly libellous are all categories that many of them fall into!
Nothing I've ever posted has been anywhere near libellous and you regularly accused me of having an anti-Allam obsession when I'd not even mentioned them.
And that's where your argument falls over and dies......and was the basis behind my original post. Although the owners probably do not read this forum, a lot of other people do.....and some of the stuff posted on here from yourself and others is anything but respectful and professional
You have to earn respect. Almost certainly libellous? Is that another way of saying they weren't libellous but like an idiot I am going to claim they were? I disagree with Lambo on many things bit your accusations against him are total, unwarranted crap, he has done nothing of the things you claim.
Yes, Mr Die When You Want and his son who describe fans as irrelevant, the club's udehtitynas common and irrelevant and have constantly lied to the fans are sooooo respectful, aren't they, doing what is morally right for Ehab.
It has to be said that Lambo, the HCST (and CTWD before that) deserve our respect and thanks for all they have done in helping to protect the heritage of our beloved Hull City A.F.C. So do the many, many others who contributed by participating in meetings, demonstrations, donations etc, etc. To suggest otherwise is quite simply ridiculous and, with all due respect, smacks of obsequity to the present (but hopefully soon gone) owners.
I never said I backed the membership, I said it's a good idea but implemented badly. There are concessions, but people have to move sections to take advantage. I remember back in the days at BP when they were offering free kids passes.....but to do so you had to sit in the family stand at one end of the best stand. Even though I had sat with all my mates in Bunkers for years.....I moved coz I wanted to take my son !! I never even thought twice about it. My lad still goes to every game today and blames me for it Maybe pathetic was the wrong word, and my first game was 44 years ago so obviously I have been through the bad times again and again.....so maybe that's why I can't understand the concept of City fans not going. Obviously money, work, distance are valid reasons for not going.....but not the owners !!!!
Some areas of the KC are cheaper but, there are no concessions - everyone sat in any particular area pays the same price. Of all the clubs own goals, in my opinion, this is by far the the worst one; FC and Rovers are already brilliant at enticing kids (future support) into their grounds, we've just made it a darn sight easier for them.
Yeah by concessions I meant family tickets which are cheaper.....but obviously that doesn't count teenagers who want to go on their own like I did many moons ago
There aren't 'family tickets' only an agreement that they won't put the price up this coming season There are no concessions ...that's the point of the scheme
Money... work... distance... all valid reasons. But a personal moral standpoint? Not valid. That's very harsh.
£570 for an adult + child at Middlesbrough and they have sold out those tickets. But they don't have a chairman who has contempt for the fans and who has pissed many of them off.
