  1. I've had a lot of nice cars:

    BMW 850i V12
    Sierra Cosworth
    Porsche 911
    TVR Griffith
    Capri 3.0

    among many others.

The Capri had a staged 2 tuned head, a rally exhaust system, gas Spax suspension, and Twin-Weber carbs. It was an absolute beast!

I had the Cosworth when I was 22, and my insurance cost more than the car was worth!

  3. I've had a few Mercs, a few BMWs, a few Jags (including an XJS), among quite many others, all of them very tasty in their own right. I probably can't remember all the different cars I have had over the years. The SL55 is a great car, but no better than many others I have had. I mention the few above only because they were a little bit off the wall. The 911, for example, was a rebuilt 1967 model which cost me £22,500 back in 1998. I bought it off a bloke who was in the process of going bankrupt, and I sold it for nearly double that 4 years later.

  6. My builder mate used to collect Ferrari cars.

No, not the Corgi models, Pixie! The real ones, mate.

He's still got a couple in bits, in his workshop.

I had a TR6( pre-family) Great to drive but maintenance was not easy. Might be hard to get parts nowadays. A couple of people told me that theTR5 was an even better drive.

I had a Rover 204. Sold it to my dealer when I was 18 and got a one way ticket to Alicante to live the 'Spanish dream'. Ended up getting mixed up with Roman gypsies and had the holiday from hell (in hindsight!). Quite fun at the time. I ran out money fairly quickly and ended up sleeping in a squat in Fuengirola with loads of nutters. I met some bird over there about six months later who was knocking about with some Irish guys that were on the run for robbing a chocolate factory in England, she ended up getting gang raped and I ended up in some trouble over drug deportation and got deported.

That's all my Rover 204's fault.

    Wouldn't recommend one personally.
