Did you piss your pants, Pixie?

I am pissing myself laughing at you mate. I mention that you'll fall for @Skylarker's like trap and the very next comment you walked straight into it.

Come rain or shine, Brexit or getting knocked out of the Euro's, you never fail to **** things up and give us a good laugh <laugh>

Thank you :)

That was a very long-winded way of telling the lads that, yes, you did piss your pants.

I am going to have to call the nurse...

I think we have to give serious consideration to renaming this thread Liverpool FC or the Southampton B Team.

I've not had it long. I swap cars around fairy frequently. I've had a few over the years. I never buy new. The idea of dropping £15k on some brand new crappy Ford when the same money will buy you a car in fantastic knick that would cost £80k new is anathama to me.

A decent strategy until a car like that needs something serious doing to it, and you're looking at a telephone number sized bill.

I fancy something like a Stag or an MG roadster

It isn't necessarily that expensive. If you know a really good jobbing mechanic, the cost of maintaining an £80k car is not much more expensive than maintaining a £15k crate-with-wheels.

The thing to bear in mind that, with certain cars, the thing that makes them expensive is the fact that they have been made with quality materials and have a reputation of not going wrong. Also, certain repairs due to age, such welding for rust-spots, cost the same no matter what car it is.
